Entering the room I saw the next person in need of saving. Hunk stood trapped in a glass hourglass thing. Sand held in the top. "Oh thank god you guys are here! And Shiro and Pidge, you're okay!" The yellow paladin placed his hands on the glass, "I'm so glad to see you all. Now... could someone get me out of here?! Please?!" I raised my hands up, "Breath Hunk. We'll get you out, but we need to hear the rules first." Hunk raised an eyebrow, "Rules?" My sister once again appeared, "Of course. What game doesn't have rules?" Hunk shrieked a little and stubbled but. "Get on with it Ava."
The girl sighed, however her smile remained present. "Very well. Once again, no using your powers, any of you, to get the paladin out. You have a time limit to solve this one." A small stream of sand began to fall on to Hunk, "Oh no... no... I'm to young to die." I turned to him, "Shhh. Don't start panicking it yet." Ava raised her hand, five stands rose from the floor, each with something different on it. The first was a pink sheet. The second and ruby pendent, third a rose, forth a crown and finally a dusty old, teddy bear. The old toy was ripped in multiple places, small amounts of dried blood stained the fur. I saddened me to see it for a reason that was just out of reach in the back of my mind.
"Solve the mystery, and find the next sin dear brother." With that the video cut off. "Brother?" Hunk questioned. I was focus on the objects I had been presented with, so I didn't answer. "Yep. The crazy chick is (N/N) half sister." Kiren explained breifly, as he walked over to me, "Any ideas?" I shock my head. "No... unlike the others, none of these make it clear which sin she's talking about. All I know is that it isn't Pride, Gluttony or Envy, since she has already used them." He nodded grimly, "Okay. I'll go try and keep Hunk calm and watch the sand. You try and figure this out." I nodded, take a glance at the others. Shiro was comforting Pidge, as the two sat by the hourglass. Hunk stood inside it, obviously panicking.
I took a deep breath. It was up to me. I have to save them from these games. Feeling determined I looked back at the items. So I examined each one for the next several minutes. The pink blanket, didn't seem to hold any significance. The rose held meaning to two of the remaining sins, but was still nothing solid to go off. The crown met little as well and each sin had a pendent, but the colours escaped me at the moment. So finally, I stood by the bear. My eyes wondered over its every detail, it's button eye, the other looking as the it had been torn out. The patches that covered it and the holes that had yet to be fixed. The small patches of blood that looked as though it was from years ago.
My thoughts were broken by the panicked shouts, "(Y/N)! May be you should hurry it up a bit?!" I looked back. seeing the sand already up to Hunks hips. I cursed slightly, picking up the bear, this was the item that held the answer I needed, I just had to remember them. As I turned the bear over, looking for anymore clues, when something fell out. A small multicolored stone fell to the floor. Slowly I picked it up, and immediately it clicked, "Lust." I stated, as I held the stone close to me, along with the bear. The promise stone we had called it. One that we had found and that she had kept... hidden away inside her favourite toy.
I turned back, seeing the glass slide up, releasing Hunk and all the sand that had collected around him. The yellow paladin laughed, hugging Kiren, as I walked over to them, the stone and bear still in hand. Hunk wasted no time in pulling me into a tight hug, "Thank you." He repeated again and again. I smiled a little, patting his back, "Hey, no problem Hunk. I'm just glad I figured it out in time." The two of us pulled away from each other. I put the stone back inside the bear, before putting it with the knife and book.
"Very well done. Though I feel like she'd be disappointed you didn't figure it out sooner. Oh wait... I already know she is." Ava had appeared again. I looked up at her, "What does that mean?" She smiled, "Exactly as it sounds. The others our watching our little game to. I couldn't leave them out of seeing you suffer and struggle to save those you are using to replace them." I clenched my fists, "They aren't your replacements. Now please open the next door." She pouted childishly, and with a wave of her hand, the next door appeared. "Make sure to give them a show."
I made my way to the door, pushing it open. Not even bothering to wait for the others. We were taking to long. Keith needed us, I wasn't sure how long he had left, but I knew that we couldn't afford to waste any more time. So I speed down the hall, ignoring the others calling out my name. This time, there was no question that needed to be answered in order to open the blue and silver door. So I pushed it open, more then ready to end this messed up game.
