Jungkook POV

Biting my lip nervously, I look myself over in the mirror, making sure I don't look too bad. Huffing frustratedly, I run a hand through my hand to try and help push some of it more into place. Satisfied with how I look, I take a deep breath and exit my attached bathroom to head downstairs for breakfast.

"Good morning, Mr. Jeon." Our maid, Jihee, greets as I reach the first floor of our house. I roll my eyes at her, shaking my head.

"You know I prefer you simply call me Jungkook, Jihee. How long have you been working for us now that you would've forgotten every day?" I question with a small smile as I head into the dining room.

"Kiyeon will be right out with your food, and then I'll take you to school once you're ready. And, you know your mother would have my head if she found out I wasn't addressing you properly." She reminds me as she stands in the doorway. I scoff, rolling my eyes at the mention of my mother.

"Please, Jihee. Let's be realistic, shall we? We both know damn fucking well that she's never around and wouldn't have a clue if you called me a shoe rather than my name. Besides, you're addressing me appropriately as long as it's what I want you to call me, and I'd like to be called Jungkook. Mr. Jeon is my father and you know how I feel about that." I counter as Kiyeon walks in through the door that leads to the kitchen, a plate full of food in her hands.

"Here you are, Mr. Jeon. Have a good day." Kiyeon says as she sets the plate of food down in front of me before disappearing back into the kitchen once more. I merely roll my eyes at this, shaking my head at them as I pick my chopsticks up.

"Whatever you say, Mr. Jungkook. I'll be in the living room when you're ready to leave." Jihee tells me with a knowing smile before disappearing as well.

I just sigh softly as I'm left alone all over again, reluctantly beginning to pick at the food that's set in front of me. It's not necessarily that I'm a picky eater, but between my nerves and the feeling of always being fucking alone is enough to ruin anyone's appetite, especially mine. I'm not entirely sure why this type of thing gets to me anymore, being alone and changing schools being something that I should be well acquainted with by now.

I try to push the thought off to the side though, forcing myself to eat my breakfast before getting up and heading to the living room. Going over to the stairs, I grab my bag that's sat at the bottom of them before going to the door to grab my shoes and slip them on.

"Ready?" Jihee asks as she stands up from the sofa. I just purse my lips, shrugging in response.

"You know how I feel about these things." I tell her quietly as we step out the door, waiting for her to lock the house up before we go over to the car that's parked in the driveway.

"It'll be okay. I think your mother plans on staying here for a while and you're only a short ways away from graduating." She responds as we climb into the car. I roll my eyes at her statement, not believing a word of it.

"No, she plans on me staying here. And regardless, that's not to say that she won't suddenly pull me out and move me off somewhere else within a months time." I mutter as I look away and out the window.

The car falls silent at my remark, Jihee clearly not having anything to come back with at that, knowing fully well that I'm right. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened, but I'm certainly tired of it, that's for certain.

When we finally arrive at the school, I sigh quietly and climb out of the car. Neither of us say a word as I get out, simply shutting the door silently before heading inside. As much as I don't want to, I go inside and slowly begin to make my way through the halls in search of the office where I'm supposed to meet the person that'll show me around.

Luckily, I find a sign that points me in the right direction, and within just a couple extra minutes I'm walking into the room itself. As I glance around, I spot a boy a little bit shorter than me with orangish hair stood with his back to me. There's a couple of girls stood on the opposite side of the front desk in here, they're eyes trained on the boy in front of me as they seem to be trying to flirt with him. Finally, the man who would appear to most likely be the principal is also stood on the other side of the desk, a smile appearing on his face as he spots me stood right in front of the door.

"Ah, you must be Jungkook, yes?" He asks with a smile. The boy with orange hair turns on his heel, cocking an eyebrow up at me as a smirk slowly begins to form on his surprisingly plump lips. Staying silent, I merely nod my head.

"Perfect. Jimin, this is Jeon Jungkook, our new student. Jungkook, this is Park Jimin. He'll be showing you around the school and taking you to each of your classes. Your schedule has been built to match his exactly, so you'll both be able to get to your classes on time. We've also moved seats around in each class so that he'll be your seat mate, so that you'll be able to have someone help you out with catching up in your classes if you have any questions."
