A/N: Sorry this is long and late! I wanted to get something out for Valentine's Day, but I got sick and it has been rough. Maybe I'll write another part or add on to this later, but please enjoy!
Prompt: Peter begins giving (Y/n) notes to try to tell her how he feels before Valentine's Day.

"Peter! Nice day right?" Ned waved to his best friend on the cool February morning, awaiting the first bell of Midtown High's bell to ring.
Peter smiled painfully, scrunching his nose and gripping the backpack tighter in his hands as he opened his locker. Ned observed him patiently, trying to understand why Peter was frustrated.
"Oh no, what's with the nose scrunch? It's a beautiful day. The birds are chirping. The air is filled with... oh. Oh! It's February!" Ned finally understood, nodding his head proudly as Peter sighed loudly.
"You know what's the difference between a calendar and me? A calendar has a date on Valentine's Day," Peter groaned, hitting his head on his locker in despair.
"Uh oh. Bad joke first thing in the morning," Ned joked, trying to comfort Peter, but his friend just groaned louder.
"Come on dude! It's only February 1st! There is plenty of time to ask that special someone. I mean, if she's who I think you are thinking—" Ned started, recalling the girl Peter has liked since last year.
"I am! But she's definitely not interested," Peter shut his locker door, rubbing his sore neck in frustration.
"What do you mean? She totally likes you! And she's available!" Ned exclaimed, trying to persuade his best friend to go after his crush.
"That's true. Except for one problem: she's my friend. I don't want to mess up what we have," Peter sighed tiredly, rubbing his brown eyes harshly. "And she doesn't know that I'm... you know? I don't want to add more drama to her life."
"I understand dude, but I hate to see you gloomy like this. And I hate to say it, but if you don't make your move, someone else will," Ned patted Peter's back after his frank speech, walking away as the first school bell rang.
Peter nodded, walking the hallways aimlessly as he overthought, letting his sad eyes wander over the brightly-colored hearts and decorations for the cheesy holiday.

"Hey kiddo. What's up?" Aunt May knocked on Peter's bedroom door, entering the cluttered teen's room cautiously.
May had noticed that Peter had been acting differently when he arrived home, suspecting that it had something to do with the holiday coming up.
"Can I ask you something?" Peter asked his aunt nervously, fiddling with the friendship bracelet (Y/n) had got him and Ned on her trip to see her family last summer.
"Sure Peter. Is it by chance about girl problems?" Aunt May bit her lip, smiling slightly as she watched Peter's face turned pinkish with embarrassment.
"How did you know?"
"I'm your aunt, Peter. It's my job. Is this happening maybe because of a certain holiday is coming up?" Aunt May asked, causing Peter to shrug and rub his neck nervously.
"Don't sweat it too much kiddo. You're young, intelligent, and very adorable. The girls are sure to come running your way," Aunt May smiled brightly in her attempt to and comfort Peter. She knew this day was coming, but she just couldn't imagine her little boy growing up so fast.
