IVAN:

The whole thing that happened in that hall was like a dream to me. Fine I knew something was up with Andro Dallas but he being Rufi’s father?

Alex Brown ……. Andro Dallas

Alex…….Andro.

Alexandro! What about Dallas?

Unlike Ms Nelson there was no regret in his look if any I saw disgust in there. Alexandro Brown is the real monster in the Brown’s family.

After that meeting we became very civil to each other. The only reason I still spoke to him is business.

Rufi was holding up well enough, she doesn’t discuss him instead she works on building her family back.

Callie is engaged to be married in three months. I smiled as I remembered her first trip to Denmark. I never once thought that’s where her soul mate is.

Nana had told me the last time she came to Nigeria that I better start thinking of getting married. Guess she forgot my girlfriend is still in school. Three hundred level.

Ana-Blaire had to weddings to flower as Maria and Victor’s wedding was in a month time.
In this bunch of ours everyone is catching the wedding flu.

RUFI:

“I got fatter” Maria grumbled as the  dress got stuck at the bust. Abbi and I shared a look

“Come on what am I going to do” her voice shook.

What! It isn’t her wedding day yet and she’s already an ocean?

“Come on Maria” I dried her eyes. Poor Maria, Look what Victor made my sis do.

“You have three weeks to loose weight”

“Right” she wiped her tears “three weeks of hunger strike”

“Not hunger strike” I corrected.

“Weight loosing” Abbi chipped.

It had worked, by Maria’s wedding day the cloth was perfect.

I couldn’t help but cry as I watch my big sister become joined with the one man that broke her walls.

My scheming had sowed a good fruit for them.
I smiled as I remembered how Victor had bribed me into bringing Maria to Hen’s. How she had gone red on their first date. Their first kiss. Her first kiss.

“Ladies and gentlemen” the MC announced “let’s welcome ….. the latest……freshest couple….. Mr. and Mrs. Victor George”.

I winked at Maria as I watch her dance in the arms of the man she loves. I looked up at Ivan, he smiled at me and kissed my head.

So begins the happily ever after of my first two families in Nigeria.

...........................................
“Hello”

“Hey Ruf good afternoon” Steven greeted.

“What do you want Steven”

“Hey Hey! Come on, I was just checking on you”.

Apparently  “since when do you  check on me?”

He laughed “since I discovered I’m now an uncle”

I bit my lips hard to keep from talking as he blabbed on, “If I’m not welcomed in your life as least my niece would want her uncle”

“What! Steven Brown you have the gut to call Ana-Blaire your niece? You?” this can’t be “ listen good Steven Brown don’t you ever ….. I mean it …… ever call my child you niece”.
