Ana-Blaire was by Ivan when he went into spasm. Again.

“Rufi” he spoke his voice weak. Fear gripped her.

Your father cherish you, whatever you want he’ll do.
When you need me to do something just say it.         Her mother’s words followed by her father’s.

Ivan was getting violent.
“Papa please stop, I’m here, I won’t leave you i promise”
Like a magic, it worked.

"Thank you papa"

The alarm that had gone off already quieted when Ivan relax. The doctor came though.

“Ana-Blaire” he said in relief

“What did you do?” Doctor Jane asked in wonder.

“I-I-I” she still couldn’t believe she stopped him “I just told him to stop”

“You just saved your father, he wouldn’t have survived that”

It was clear Ivan loved his family the doctor noted. Even in coma he granted his daughter request. Why the woman tried to separate them she still couldn’t comprehend.

Her prayer is the safe return of his wife. She knew if that happens he would recover at the speed of light.

Callie watched her mother leave the hospital to go to Rufi no doubt. As soon as she was sure it’s safe to rise she did. She hurried out through the back entrances she’s used the first few days after Ivan was admitted.

She quickly peeled off her night gown to ravel the tank-top and shot she’d been wearing to sleep for days. If Teresa saw her like this she wouldn’t recognize her.
She drove new bike to the main entrance and waited until her mother drove off in her rented BMW. Callie followed.

Feeling like the FBI she was not Callie Cruised the bike on her mother’s trail.
One thing she loved about this neighborhood was that they are so many bike lovers around to cover her up.

Talk of Ms dumb who Teresa is. She wasn’t even checking to see if she was being followed.
Callie wasn’t out on a “catch ‘em” mission, she’d leave that to her FBI friends. She just wants to confirm her location.

After a few more minutes of driving Teresa parked. Callie followed stealthily.
“Come out, I’m here” Teresa spoke into the phone.

Diana sashayed out from a corner to Teresa
“How is Ivan?" As is she cared.

“Not good, doctor says he might not survive”
It was difficult for Callie to follow their conversation and decided to leave while it was still save.
Upon returning to the hospital she called Sharon “location confirmed.

* **************************************

“What if someone tries to take her from here?”

“Callie?”

“No” Teresa dismissed “Callie believes I have nothing to do with this, she trusts me”

“Hmm”

“Poor Cal. She thinks I’ve accepted the bimbo”

Diana sniggered “the girl trust easily”

“Her bad” They both mocked Callie’s supposed foolishness.

“Seriously D. what if she tries to escape”

“Are you for real, Rufi escape?” Diana asked shocked

“Don’t underestimate that girl Diana”

Diana thought for a moment, it did not occur to her Rufi could try escaping.

“I know what to do” a devilish smile on her face

“I hope so, if she gets out we’re doomed”

“she won’t, I’ll make sure she can’t even say her name”

Diana kept to her words because by the next evening when Teresa dropped by, Rufi was not only limp she could not make a sound.

“good job” she commended “I still don’t want her dead”

“It won’t kill her”

* ****************************************

Rufi moaned weakly. Her body was burning yet her veins were freezing. She tried to move but she couldn’t control her muscles.

She was trapped. Inside her own body, headache had always been her companion since she got here but this was the god of headache at work in her head. She could barely move an inch.

What had they done to her?
Were they trying to kill her?
If yes, then there are other ways, easier ways, less agonizing ways. What did they give her?

Diana and Teresa laughed. Couldn’t they wait for her to die?
A bullet in her head would have been better, she wouldn’t need to feel this pain. Her body was being torn into pieces, her soul being ripped apart.

She couldn’t die now. Not at this age.
She would fight hard. Even if it means fighting her own body. She’d endure the pain.
She could and she would.

Silence claimed her. Taking all her pains away. She dreamt of her psychologist.

You are strong Rufi, inside this frail package is buried an enormous amount of strength. Access it, only you can find it for you. It’s there find id, and when you do you’ll be surprised at its magnanimity . Locate it and use it.

Those words were meant to help her overcome her fears sexually. Now it will help her fight her body. Whatever had been injected into her bloodstream she would fight against it? With all her strength.

* ********************************************

Ana-Blaire had dark circles under her eyes Callie observed. The kid hadn’t slept in two days and does not seem to have a plan for sleep tonight.
“Ana-Blaire you need to sleep”

“What if papa needs me?” she replied staring at the sport above the TV she'd been doing that for long

“If he does I’ll wake you”

“No”

“Sweetheart you might get sick”

“I won’t “

“Love don’t make me get you a sleeping pill”

Ana-blaire knowing she’d better try to sleep or her aunt Cal would force a sleeping pill down her throat lay down. Exhaustion got her to sleep in a minute.
Poor little girl.

She felt she had to look after her father.

Callie was about snoozing when a breaking new came on air. The infamous Grey Jackson had been caught. Callie found that hard to believe haven followed the case for the past ten years.

Jackson the world known rapist, the most wanted have been arrested.
The African police force combined finally caught the man who had been defiling their girls for twelve years.

The report had it that the pictures of all the girls he had ever defiled was buried at the rundown apartment he owned in every country.
They promised detailed report by breakfast bulleting.

What could transform a man into a monster?
No one claimed him or he choose to do that to himself ?

Maybe this is the season of justice because she could bet her last penny her mother would make headline news soon.

Rufi would return home, her brother would recover, their family would be restored.
That wedding would finally hold.
