It was time to settle this whole mess in court. Shelly desperately wanted to prove that she was not mentally ill, and Mary-Ellen wanted her to be out of her and Slappy's lives. All of Shelly's close friends were there and ready to defend Shelly in any way possible. Stine. Hannah. Zach. Champ. Kathy Quinn. Sarah. Sam. Sonny. Walter. Jennica Campbell. Jennifer Campbell. Alice Campbell. Even Wally and Snappy.
There were two wooden desks that were opposite of each other and empty chairs that were behind them. Everybody but Stine sat in the chairs that were right behind the desk where Shelly would be sitting. He was sitting at the desk and wearing a red bow-tie that was similar to Slappy's.
Slappy and Mary-Ellen soon arrived to the courtroom. Slappy was holding the baby, and he and Mary-Ellen were talking quietly.
"Are you ready for this?" he asked.
"Yes," she answered. "I want to get this over with. The sooner that it is behind us, the better that we will be off."
"Then do the best that you can so we can get married and be a family." He kissed her forehead and sat in a chair that was right behind the desk where Mary-Ellen was going to sit.
It was a good thing that Shelly was not in the room to see him give her a kiss.
There was a tall - a very tall - and wide desk in front of them and a brown door that was near it. The bailiff came in through the door and placed his hands behind his back.
"All rise!" he ordered.
Everyone stood up as the judge entered the room and walked up to the tall desk. She sat down and stared at whoever was in the room. She was not a cheerful judge.
"Mary-Ellen VS Shelly Madison," she said. "Please bring in the patient."
An officer walked in through the brown door and had someone.
It was Shelly.
