Shelly really looked like an unhealthy and mentally ill patient. Her hair was in tangles, like it had not been brushed for years, and one of her eyes was twitching. She had on a straight jacket because they did not want her to hurt anybody, even though that she would never harm a person.

Wally and Snappy gasped when they saw her. Stine frowned at the sight of one of his friends being treated like an insane person. Mary-Ellen sat at her desk and contained her giggles. She liked seeing her suffer.

Everyone else sat back down, and the officer forced Shelly over to her desk. Shelly did not hesitate and sat next to Stine. She looked at him.

"Stine?"

Stine glanced at her and whispered, "Are you okay?"

She let out a cough. "H-hanging in there..."

It had only been three weeks ever since that Shelly was deported to the nearest mental hospital. To her, it was a nightmare. All that she wanted now was to clear her name and go home to be with Slappy.

To make matters worse, Mary-Ellen had a prosecutor, and Shelly had no one to defend her. Nobody wanted to defend her no matter how much Stine was willing to pay because they actually thought that she was insane. That is why Stine was going to defend her.

"Mary-Ellen," the judge began. "Please come to the stand."

Mary-Ellen did what she was told and sat at the stand. Her prosecutor got up and went up to the stand.

"Mary-Ellen," the prosecutor said. "How would you describe Shelly Madison?"

"Easy. A psychopath."
