Bored...
Bored.
Bored!
I huffed, tossing my pencil onto the table after fifteen minutes of staring at my assignment. I just couldn't wrap my head around it! And what was worse was the dreaded ticking of the clock, torturing me as I impatiently waited for class to end. My friend, Emma, noticed my frustrated action and leaned towards me.
"Life getting you down?"
"You have no idea, sister..." I grumbled "What is this? X+ something equals whatever... does X look like a number to you?!"
"Calm down." Emma sighed "This wouldn't be a problem if you actually, you know, studied."
I gave her a side glance, causing her to sigh.
"You're right. Knowing you, that would be impossible..."
"Oh, you know me so we--"
"Y/N."
I paused as a sudden gentle voice reached my ears, making me turn around to see who said it. A boy sat behind Emma and I, but it couldn't have been him because whoever called out to me was female. I once again sat straight, confused as hell.
Emma poked my shoulder "You alright?"
"Yeah, just... didn't you hear a voice just now?"
"What... voice?"
"Y/N."
"That. That voice." I claimed pointing my index up. The other female sent me an bizarre look.
"Are you sure you're okay, Y/N?"
I huffed "Don't give me that, I'm sure I heard--"
"It's time, Y/N."
"Time for what?!" I yelled, furiously glancing around the room "Who's talking to me?"
By now the whole room was staring at me, which made me extremely uncomfortable. What's more is that they were looking as if I was crazy. Emma laughed nervously and pulled me down.
"Y/N, maybe you should go to the nurse's office. You don't look so--"
"Oh my gosh, her hand!"
The scream of another girl had everyone looking at me again. A round of gasps and 'Holy (insert word)'s were heard as I glanced down at my hand slowly, scared of what I'd find.
My eyes widened in horror.
"It's time for you to return." The voice spoke again as I watched my hand evaporate into spiritual blue most. The same was happening to my other "To fulfill your destiny."
I began breathing heavily, holding my arms out as if to hold back the mist eating away at the limbs. Emma watched frozen, too scared to do anything as if she'd make it worse if she tried. The mist was at my feet now, and I screamed as more and more of me began to disappear. The classroom was loud with panic, at least it was until I fell into darkness. I heard nothing, except that one voice.
"Open your eyes."
