"that was stupid of you," celena scolded
harvey rolled his eyes. he winced in pain as she placed a bandaid on his pinky finger, which was now purple and bleeding.
"at least they didn't touch my face," he joked
this time it was celena's turn to roll her eyes. the other had left and so now it was only harvey and herself. she secretly enjoyed it since he was a fun person to have around, even if he was annoying.
"so what's you deal?" he asked when she didn't say anything
she tilted her head to the side which spoke for itself. what do you mean? she finished disinfecting his elbow and placed another bandaid on it while he explained.
"i meant what powers do you have,"
she froze for a split second but quickly gathered herself. she closed the first aid box and leaned back against the wall that he was also leaning on.
she sighed heavily,"i have telekinesis, and i can also control light and make lightning," she answered truthfully
"i guess i shouldn't aggravate you then," he laughed
she ducked her head and stared at the floor. her finger traced random doodles on the ground.
"to be honest, yourself more dangerous than me. i can't use my powers," she spilled
curiously, he asked her why.
"i suppressed them when i was younger, so i don't know how to use them. it doesn't matter though, i don't to," she blurted
celena found herself wondering why she was exposing her secrets to the boy next to her. however it did take a weight of her shoulders telling someone this. it felt like one less thing to think about.
"so then you can," he concluded
she nodded her head, "true."
harvey wanted to press on the matter. he wanted to know why she suppressed them. his curiosity was getting larger and larger but he stopped himself. she didn't look like she wanted to talk about it.
"you know, im actually glad that i didn't fully transition to a hunter," he suddenly confessed
she was the one to ask why this time and he didn't hesitate to answer. she felt glad that he was also telling her something personal. this way it wouldn't be embarrassing for her.
"like you said, i'm barely 18. i want to do more with my life even if there is no chance for me," he mumbled
she smiled at him being shy.
"it's good you realize that, but why are you here anyway? you said they don't control you,"
"because what difference does it make that im half hunter now? if i leave then i'll still be the orphan boy on he street," he replied
celena fell silent. she wanted to comfort him and tell him that it's okay, but that would be weird since they're practically strangers.
"im an orphan too,"
celena instantly regretted saying that as soon as the words left her mouth. from the corner of her eye she could see that he smiled a bit.
harvey felt it was cute of her to try and relate to him. he knew she was just trying to make him feel better, but he didn't know how to reply.
"same,"
he mentally slapped himself 25 times. obviously he didn't think before saying that. gosh you're so stupid. WHY WOULD YOU SAY SAME?, harvey thought
"cool," celena acknowledged trying to sound cool

"are you here to see georgia?" catherine asked the redhead
they were now walking back to the council building together, so she guessed he was here to visit georgia.
"yes, but why were you crying?" johnny asked with concern
catherine put on a fake smile, "no reason,"
though johnny wasn't convinced he didn't prod her with anyone questions.
johnny is georgia's best friend. he regularly comes over to talk to her or give her advice. although all the girls are convinced they like each other, they continue to deny it.
they both turned into the alley and headed straight for the building. a black van was parked in front of it. georgia and kamry stepped out with groceries in hand.
"kamry can you get that too- johnny!" georgia beamed
johnny walked over and helped them carry the bags filled with food into the council house. catherine stood there for a minute, thinking. will i ever be happy? or am i doomed a lonely life?, she wondered.
slowly she dragged herself into the brick building. she skipped up the stairs and into her temporary room. it was a very purple and pink, like a color bomb had exploded.
she remembered living here, in this room, for nearly 7 years. this was her home after she was thrown out by her human parents. this was where chris contacted her. this is where everything wrong started.
she broke into tears.
"w-why did you find me only t-o l-leave me!" she weaped
catherine closed her eyes and tipped her head back. her head hit the door surface behind her. she slid down the bedroom door and curled into a ball. the clear tears rolled down her cheeks and dripped on her blouse.
"w-why.." she cried harder and harder
it was such a painful feeling, but it wasn't something that could be wiped away with painkillers. she couldn't fix this pain with her powers. this pain was mental and she had a feeling she would never forget it.
her body trembled and shook harsh as her sobs filled the small room. her brain was torturing her with happy memories of chris.
she screamed and threw her purse down at the floor with a bang. a part of her could hear her friends running up the stairs and asking her "what's wrong", but she couldn't answer.
her mouth was quivering so much that the only noise it could make was distressed sounds.
she crawled her way over to her bed and stuffed her face into the fluffy, white pillow. the pillow became filled with overflowing tears. tiredly, her body fell into a slumber.
when the girls heard no more cries, they opened the door and peaked in. to their surprise, her room was a total wreck. pictures of her and chris were thrown everywhere, and the belongs in her purse were spilled out.
without a single word, the girls closed the door quietly and moved away from the door. though they didn't know what happened, they felt terrible. however they let her have her space.
when she woke up several hours later, her favorite bowl of soup lay on her nightstand with a note.
don't cry too hard catherine. tomorrow is another day.
