tate had always wondered what would happen when she died, and she certainly didn't expect this. she gawked at the streets full of people. a whole separate world/realm for the dead and fallen specialists.

it brought peace to her heart that liam had been here all along. he hadn't been lonely.

she skipped through the populated streets giddily. liam followed along with a grim face. they held hands tightly, afraid to lose each other again. she explored for a while before going to eat dinner.

liam brought her to his favorite restaurant. she paused in front it. it was too familiar for her liking. everything about it made her want to run the other way, but she understood why he brought her here.

this restaurant look almost identical to the one he had died in. it was like they were in a parallel world. everything was so surreal that she almost convinced her self that she was dreaming.

"let's go eat somewhere else," she murmured

tate tugged on liam's arm, but he dragged her in. he forced them to sit in the same exact place as the last and he ordered the same items too. tate sighed and tried to control her trembling hand.

"liam, i don't want to be here," she voiced

he looked at her, "nobody can hurt us here."

she shook her head, "that's not why. please let's just leave."

he ignored her pleads, "we can't leave. we already ordered."

glaring at the boy, she stood up. he didn't spare her a glance. tate didn't bother asking him and again and simply walked out the restaurant. she heard someone left their seat.

a second later, liam's hand grabbed her wrist. he spun her around to face him and prevented her from walking out the door. she grumbled and tried to yank her hand out of his but failed.

"let me go! i don't want to be here. why bring me here?" she exclaimed

the only other couple in the restaurant turned their heads to the pair then looked away, minding their own business. tate studied liam's face for an answer but it was expressionless.

"i died tate. you died! how could you act all normal? how can you smile?"

the image of harvey stepping towards her with the dagger crossed her mind. she quickly forced herself to forget. liam snarled as if he could read her thoughts.
