kamry shook her head, "no, there wasn't even a hunter in sight!"
after saying so, kamry scanned the building for a hiding hunter but saw no one.
"it doesn't matter, she's dead," clary shuddered
kamry's eyes narrowed, "what do you mean?"
"i mean, her twin died," the redhead women replied
celena made eye contact with catherine then everliegh. it wasn't possible for specialists to have sibling. it was common knowledge, so what clary talking about?
"that's nonsense! we can't have siblings!" everliegh argued
clary paled. she placed a hand on the wall to steady herself.
"it's rare, very rare. it's supposed to be impossible but it's real. the blue flame symbolizes the death of a twin,"
none of this made sense to the girls. it sounded like she was talking nonsense especially with the expression of hers. celena stepped forward and held clary's hands.
"what are you talking about clary?" she murmured
"it's rare, very rare," she repeated, "but every once in a while, when a specialist is made, they split into two different people. we call them twins, but they're linked. if one dies, the other dies with them. it's so rare that many don't even know about the phenomenon."
celena dropped clary's hands and turned around. she looked at the three faces staring her. if this was true, that meant that georgia's twin had died and georgia died with him/her.
if this was true, it meant that they just lost two friends in the span of a week.

everliegh glanced down at her black dress. she felt nothing as she glanced around her. she didn't feel sad or happy. there was emptiness inside of her, and she didn't know how to fill the gap.
one by one, her loved ones were slowly slipping away again.
though there wasn't a body to bury, specialists still tend to hold funerals. it was an event to attempt to bring closure to those who lost someone that meant so much them.
