quietly, she picked up her pace to her dorm. only two hallways away. she was so close, but just as she entered the dormitory hallway a hand pulled her back. big beefy hands gripped her shoulders. she staggered.
carly, the infamous hallway guard smirked at her.
"going somewhere, nelson?" she asked
celena sighed, "can't you just let me go this once? it's an emergency,"
unfortunately carly didn't believe a word she said and redirected her back to class, which happened to be PE. she sulked while walking back to the gymnasium. she groaned then threw the door open.
dodgeballs were flying in every direction. their sneakers were squeaking on the shiny gym floor, and the smell of sweat was practically unbearable.
"welcome back to class miss nelson. would you care to join us or would you like me to write you up instead?" the coach spoke sarcastically
with frustration celena picked up the hard, red ball and threw it across the room. the gym coach smiled in satisfaction. she continued to please the teacher the rest of the period.

walking out of the showers, celena was only happy to not be coated in glistening sweat. she dropped her wet towel in the 'dirty towel bin' and walked towards the her last period, english.
she passed by a large yellow sign that was hung on every half-hallway. it read:
BEWARE OF SUPERNATURAL ACTIVITY. PLEASE REPORT TO THE ADMINISTRATOR OR THE POLICE IF YOU HAVE SEEN ANYONE AROUND HERE THAT HAS USED SUPERNATURAL POWERS. THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY.
she internally scoffed. it didnt matter if these 'supernatural people' have been coexisting peacefully with the humans, because humans will always find themselves more superior. they will always want to have something to control.
sighing heavily, she turned away from the poster and bumped into a familiar face.
"hey celena," a voice spoke by her ear
suddenly an arm was dangling on her shoulder, and a tall female with freckled popped smiled showing her dimples.
"hi catherine," she greeted sweetly
they began walking to english together. as the two passed by the main office and turned the corner to class. celena stopped in her place and look back around the wall. a cold feeling washed over her.
curiously, catherine also peeked around the corner. she smiled and clapped her hands.
"we have new students!" catherine exclaimed
"no catherine, those are hunters," celena said with a trembling voice
catherine's expression changed in a split second. she grabbed celena's hand and dragged her to class. without a trace they settled for the english lesson, but there was something in the atmosphere between them now.
it was fear. ———
"are you sure they were hunters?"
"yes georgia! i could feel it, and i saw their demon shadow following them. i doubt anyone else saw it though," celena explained
it was after class now. catherine and celena had ran back to the dorms to inform georgia what they said, since she was their unofficial group leader.
the was a click and the door opened. the girls jumped but it was only juniper and tate walking in from their late classes. the smile on their faces were wiped away once seeing the worried looks on the others.
"what's wrong?" they ask in unison
"then we'll have to tell council," georgia declared
"about what?" juniper and tate asked, but nobody listened
"no! then we will have to relocate!" kamry cried out
"it's better than being im direct danger!" georgia argued
"georgia's right kamry," everliegh defended
"will anyone tell us what this is about?!"
everyone turned their heads to tate and juniper. they looked like their heads were about to blow off. georgia sighed and took a seat on the couch, next to everliegh. kamry stormed off to her room, which left celena and catherine to explain what was happening.
with a distressed look celena summed up the whole story, "two hunters arrived at the school this afternoon. we might need to leave,"
"kamry's right! if we tell the supernatural council then we'll have to leave! we can't leave! this has been the longest we've ever stayed in a place!" tate snapped
besides, if hunters were around then maybe she would get to begin her small revenge plan. but she wasn't about to tell this to the girls.
"tate! if we stay here then we'll be in danger!" catherine stated
tate scoffed, "no matter where we are, they will always find us. so why do we have to keep running?"
juniper bit her lip. tate was right.
"because it's not safe. period. no more argument. go scram and get your stuff ready," georgia demanded frustratedly
"ugh," tate dragged out.
she ran upstairs and slammed her door so loudly that both celena and juniper flinched. then the three cautiously climbed the stairs and to their rooms. when tate got mad, she got mad.
the faint memory of her getting so furious that she almost burned down the house, was engraved in all their minds.
"hello? clary? we need to talk about something. it's an emergency," georgia whispered into the phone downstairs
