"we know,"
"you knew?!" juniper snapped, "for all we know, hundred of thousands of humans are being turned into hunters, and you're doing nothing?"
clary glared at the young girl, "we are not heroes for the human race! we don't need to involve ourselves into the matter."
juniper stomped her foot on the marble floor and glared right back at clary. she tried to muster up the most intimidating face she could make.
confidently, she spoke back to clary, "fine, even if we don't need to protect the humans, what about us? there will be more and more hunters as the day goes by. we'll all my dead before the year ends!"
however, clary was already walking away from juniper. the poor girl had a hard time wondering why clary was being so cold.
"you don't need to worry about that. if it gets serious we can send our best people, which you are not one of. your only concern is to not get killed," she commanded
and before juniper could argue, her bedroom door slammed shut.
"what's wrong with clary? things are already bad. she should have sent people out the moment they found out about it," celena remarked
she had finally left the dungeon, though it was only so that she could get a snack.
juniper shrugged her shoulders in defeat. celena patted juniper on the back to reassure her everything was going to be alright, then headed toward the chamber doors.
"are you going back in there again?" juniper asked
celena nodded her head and revealed the two juice boxes she held. one for her and one for harvey.
"im sorry to ask- and it's probably a misunderstanding- but do you like him?"
celena chuckled awkwardly, "don't be absurd. he's lonely and i have nothing better to do."
"right," juniper was definitely unconvinced
"i'm serious! besides, he still likes everliegh," celena confessed
juniper made and 'O' shape with her mouth, but then rethought what celena said.
"why does that matter? couldn't you still like him?" she asked
celena sighed, "no, i don't. he's a hunter too!"
juniper laughed, "forbidden love. that just makes it 10x more interesting!"
the other girl rolled her eyes. she kept trying to convince herself that what juniper said was wrong. if anything, harvey wasn't even her ideal type. he was too full of himself, flirty, and too good looking.
celena gasped at her very last thought. i must be going crazy because i've spent so much time with that lunatic!
she shook her had from the confusing thoughts and ran back into the dungeon. juniper watched from the sidelines and couldn't help but think the two would go well together.
then at the thought of together, she thought of leo. this resulted in a heavy blush from her, until a question struck her: what are they now?
now confused also, juniper ran into her room and flopped on her bed.
does this mean they are a couple, even if they didn't say so? or were thy still friends?
frustratedly, she kicked her legs on the plain bed.

"i was just joking with you, but you actually stalked me?" kamry screeched
"i was joking too!" garret lied
"get away from me stalker!" she screamed
fortunately for her, she was much faster than the boy. when she entered the council house, she locked the doors tightly. though she knew that he would find her sooner that later, since he is her stalker.
"kamry, you good?"
panting and out of breath, kamry looked up at her friend. everliegh stared at kamry with less worry than interest. she was bored out of her mind and wanted a scoop of the drama.
everliegh snarled then walked towards the kitchen. it seemed like nobody was home or hiding from her.
then for a split second and just that fraction of a second, she saw someone outside the window. he was long gone by now, but she couldn't help it. everliegh climbed on the kitchen counter to get a better look.
something was written out with sticks.
so someone was there. she squinted her eyes to get a better look. finally, she got the perfect angle and read the message.
im coming back for you
everliegh hopped of the counter in horror. quickly, she dashed out the kitchen and pushed the fromt door open. a freeze breeze smacked her in the face. desperately she tried to find the pile of sticks, but they were long gone. she looked around and searched for the note, but it had disappeared.
she was going crazy. that was it. she just saw something that wasn't there. everliegh repeated those lines in her head over and over again, but it was no use. she saw it and she will never forget it.
he was coming back. she stepped over to where the sticks were supposed to be and sat down on the road. she touched the ground and traced the words.
im coming for you, a voice spoke in her mind
she wanted to scream, but it was stuck in her throat. she felt suffocated. listening to the boy inside her head made her cringe. her heart was torn into pieces again. the memories she tried so hard to forget pushed it's way into her head.
"try to find me," she declared, knowing he could hear her.
