everliegh- sound, mindreader, invisibility

-"we're leaving," everliegh announced as soon as she gathered everyone in the room
that is, everyone but clary.
"what? where?" tate questioned
"to the place they're making hunters," she replied
the girls looked at each other. they shared words through eye contact, expressing their worries.
"but clary said-"
"clary isn't thinking right. we'll leave tonight," everliegh replied hastily
celena signaled georgia to step in. as the unofficial leader of the group, she has a better chance of convincing everliegh to rethink than anyone else. but before georgia could open her mouth, everliegh spoke again.
"or let's just leave and go somewhere else, please. i..i need to get our of here," everliegh pleaded
georgia sighed, "let's have a vote. if you want to leave raise your hand."
everyone except celena and catherine raised their hands. for the reason, celena didn't want to leave harvey, and catherine didn't want to leave her room.
"alright, we're leaving tonight. raise your hand if you want to stop the humans," georgia
this time it was unanimous.
"but if we do..we're bringing harvey," none other than celena spoke
because nobody cared, they all agreed. it seemed celena had an obsession with her friend, but the girls were too caught up in their own problems to find out why.
everliegh left the room and immediately began to pack for their long and unapproved trip. she was overflowing with worry and stress that she couldn't think straight. she threw random pieces of clothing into her bag without thinking.
georgia went to also invite johnny. she knew he was always up for an adventure. plus, with all the girls worrying about their own thing, she would have some company.
juniper ran into the kitchen to call leo, while tate went to pack her clothes silently. catherine dragged herself back to her and fell asleep on her bed. celena went to find harvey, and kamry went to outside to get some air.
it was a mess in he council house.
all the girls were running around doing their own thing. the only plan they had was to use harvey to bring them to the unknown place and save everyone starting tonight.
but even then, their plan was already falling apart. none of them were thinking about the dangerous obstacles they would face, or the long trip. instead, they were all wrapped up in their own problems or interests.
if they weren't going to pull themselves together, it would be a suicide mission.

when catherine woke up, it was already dark. she could hear the rustling footsteps of her friends downstairs. she wondered how clary didn't notice them trying to leave. did she wonder at all?
catherine knew she was acting pathetic, but she couldn't help it. chris wasn't her first boyfriend, but he had hurt her much worse than any other. how could she have not been hurt?
she stared motionless at the ceiling.
"tell me how i can move on. tell me how i can move on from someone who hates the very existence of my people?" she scoffed, "i do sound pathetic,"
her bedroom door creaked open and georgia's head popped in.
"im sorry, i didn't mean to overhear but i couldn't help it. catherine, you shouldn't cry for someone who hurt you. you can move on because you're thinking about the what ifs. i know you are thinking about the what ifs because i know you. you're thinking, what if i did this or that, but you shouldn't. catherine, don't waste time looking back and push forward." georgia ranted
and for the fifth time that day, catherine broke into tears again. but it wasn't because she was hurt, it was because she felt loved. her friends were always there for her and she should start depending on them more.
stupidly, catherine croaked, "but i don't want to let go,"
georgia allowed herself to enter catherine's room. she embraced catherine tightly and rubbed her back soothingly.
"the best gift you could give yourself in this situation, is letting go,"
catherine sniffled and tried to calm her cries. georgia is right. nothing will come out of thinking about the what ifs or staying in the moment.
catherine asked hesitantly, "can..you help me pack my clothes?"
georgia smiled and bent down to take out catherine's suit case from under her bed. together, the two packed catherine's suit case and brought it down to the front door quietly.
all the girls were waiting for them patiently. they didn't ask any questions.

[4 hours earlier]
kamry tried to listen to everliegh and georgia talk, but their voices were drowned out by a ringing noise in her ears. she could out make out some words in their sentences and pretend to agree.
"alright, we're leaving tonight. raise your hand if you want to stop the humans," georgia
everybody raised their hands, so kamry did the same, though she had no idea what they were having a vote on.
finally all the girls were dispersing. the went their separate ways, so kamry took that as a sign that she could go. the ringing in her ears were now getting louder and louder.
kamry could barely push her way through the front door. once outside, she leaned on the brick wall. her her was throbbing and her vision was blurring. she felt a liquid drip down her ear and reach to wipe it away.
she saw red on her fingers before the darkness took her.
