Chapter 42 - Home

The dinner was pretty uneventful, just casual talk between you and his parents with his occasional brash comments every now and then.

You had gone back up to his room and finished up the last slide. You let out a loud groan, stretching your arms out above you and leaning so your back was resting against his bed.

He scoffed, "Did you give up?"

"No, I finished." You muttered tiredly.

"Good, you can leave now."

"Not yet, I'm gonna wake up a little bit then you can shove me out the door."

You allowed your eyes to close as silence settled. Eventually, your hand muscles stopped aching and you stood.

"I'll be leaving now." You spoke as you opened the bedroom door and began to travel down to the front door.

"Awh, you're leaving already?"

"Yea, I should get home."

"Ok but, KATSUKI!" She yelled

There was vigorous thumps that eventually lead to where you stood as the younger Bakugou huffed.

"What!"

"I swear, you have no manners! Walk your friend home!" She demanded loudly.

You supposed he didn't wanna have another arguement or get slapped again so he opened the door, shoved you out, and closed it.

Shaking yourself off a bit, you began walking with him. It was silent for a bit until you decided to speak.

"So, uh... Your mother is interesting, you resemble her a lot."

He huffed, "I'm nothing like that old hag."

You peered at him in mild interest then a sudden frown covered your mouth.

"You dont like me very much, do you." You asked, even though it was more of a statement.

"Huh!?"

"Well, you don't really like anyone, well maybe except Kirishima." You voiced, e/c eyes cast down.

"You! Listen you idiot, if I didn't like you then why would I let you come to my house?!" He yelled.

You meerly shrugged.

"I -"

His next words were cut off as a low rumble came from the sky. Your head immediately snapped up and muscles tensed.

Your fears were confirmed as a strike plof lightning flashed in the distance, followed by another low rumble.

Before you could comprehend, your arm was grabbed and your legs moved quickly, not allowing you to fall and able to keep up.

"I should've checked the damn forecast before leaving!"

Your home was only a block away at this point, you just hoped the storm wouldnt move to fast.

"Oi, dumbass, if you don't want to get caught in the rain I suggest you run faster!"

You blindly obeyed, forcing yourself to pick up speed.

Before you knew it, you had made it back home, panting, and drops of rain beginning to fall. Noting by how all the lights were off and that there was an absence of the usual food aroma, you guessed midnight wasn't there.

Your breathing evened out and you looked to were Katsuki was standing, looking out a window with his usual scowl.

"You should go, your mother might-" lightning flashed, followed by a a loud crash.

Of course, it was enough to weaken your legs and make you fall onto your hands and knees.

"No, I'm not going anywhere if your gonna be here alone, you'll probably go fucking insane."

Haha a ok so, I know you guys are probably like, "Why dont we just wear ear plugs?" But! There's a reason for that! So, essentially, Midnight thought this problem had been resolved but Y/n hid it from her so that she wouldnt worry, hope that helps.
