**Flashback into the past**

Tae and I was running for our lives, getting away from the guards. We stole a royal ruby from the palace. We needed the money. When hiding, I bumped into someone, who looked about my age but cuter. Footsteps approached us, the girl tapped on my shoulder and guided us away from the action. We hid inside of this old house, when we sat down the girl uncovered herself.

Both me and my brother was stun by her beauty, but confused due to we didn't know who she was— she was wearing normal peasant clothes and her brown hair was in a high ponytail, she had brown eyes that's like honey. Her lips was pink and soft, then the cheeks was rosy... she was beautiful. "Thank you so much...umm.." I said.

"Laura, you can call me Laura" she wasn't looking at us, but around us to see the coast was cleared. 

"Are you a foreigner? The accent is strange?" Tae mentioned.

She turned to us, then smiled. "No, I was born in this kingdom just like you... I just study in the states from time to time" then you can see her relax a little. I asked her why she helped, her response was "Why not?"

Puzzled by that statement, I took the gem out of my pocket. The light shined directly upon it, making our eyes hurt. When adjusting to the shiny object, Laura's eyes glued to the gem like she seen it before. "What's wrong Laura?" I said with concern and worries.

"That's the royal ruby for the princess, it was custom made. When she is sixteen, she gets a tiara with that ruby in it. Can't believe I'm seeing this up close"

"How did you know that?" Tae asked her. She said that she heard it from citizens once in town. That ruby coast more than the palace itself, if I pawn it, then we will be set for life. Laura also mentioned, that I shouldn't trust people when pawning the royal items. Due to the fact they will call the guards immediately. Freaking out, Taehyung begged me to put it back where it belong.

I couldn't let this opportunity go, this thing could help us become something that we wasn't before, rich. I couldn't let it go that easily— but he kept begging, tears flowed down his eyes. Finally saying okay, I gave him a smile. "People are looking for you, you know how hard it is to put something back, especially something royal. Here, I will take it off your hands and put it back for you" Laura said as she reached to get the gem. But how can I trust her?

She did help us hide. With trust, I handed it over to her. She puts it in her pocket for safe keeping, then she pulled out 120 £ then an location spot. "I know it's not much but here. I was going to get dinner with this and turn this place into a hideout for myself. But I see you need it more than me"

"Why are you doing this?" I asked.

She just smiled and walked away. We never saw her again, I hope we will meet soon. Even though the gem was returned, we was in more trouble then ever. We were accused by attempting to kidnap the princess, since she was gone for some hours. That cause us our lives, we were sentenced to death. Our parents made us run as we witness them being taken away by royal guards. Luckily, we had a place to stay.

**Present Day**

Waking up to the sound of knocking once again, Jin enter the room with a smile like always. Turning over, I pulled my covers above my head. "Good morning princess, had a nice sleep?" Jin said as he took the covers and pulled them off the bed. Groaning, I laid on my back and stared at the covering that's over me. "Time to do your causal duties today, then the queen wants you in the throne room soon" Jin continued to talk, knowing I don't listen in the morning.

Then Jimin popped his head in, "Morning your highness" he said in a nervous way. I looked at him.

"What you doing here Jiminie? You are Hobi's servant not mines??" I sat up in my bed and stretched. The mochi said that Hobi was sick and Yoongi had the day off, so the queen orders were to accompany me on my duties. Park Jimin is the adviser for my brother... even though he was smart, being my adviser needs patience and sincerity. But he will do for now.

I told him to come in, "What's on the plans today Jimin?" I laid back in bed, until Jin came to get me so I could take a shower. 

"First breakfast with the family, then a fitting for the ball soon, then meeting your majesty in the throne room"

When I heard ball, that's made me a little happy due to I get to talk to people again, especially my friends I rarely see. Hoping in the shower, I did my daily cleanup. When coming out, Jimin eyes averted away. "This is normal for my servants Jimin, they are not bother by my nudity. They have to make sure I'm dressed orderly"

"Prince Hoseok, puts his undergarments on himself then we help dress him. This is just new to me— sorry my lady" he bowed out of respect. I shook my head and replied with no worries. Once I was dressed, we headed to the dining hall. When entering, the other staff members greeted me then my family. This time my parents were here to join our meal time.

"Mother, father, were have you been yesterday?" I asked as I waited for my plate to be served. 

"On business, to talk to some of the nobles that will be on the list. Today, I want you to join me when addressing the nobles here" my mother said with a gentle smile on her face. Surprised that she actually wants me to see how they are, to get a idea of who they are.

Nodded my head, in the corner of my eye, I see Hoseok coughing up a lung "How did you get sick little brother? What you do?" asking him with a smug look on my face.

"I got pushed in the water fountain... don't get dramatic, it was accident"

"Who pushed you Hoseok?" My father asked him. "I said it was a accident, it was a lot of people and someone didn't watch where they was going... then boom. In the water I go" I can see he was eyeing Jimin down like a hawk. He just smirked and look away. After the breakfast, I went to the royal tailors to get fitted for my ball grown.

When arriving, I saw another girl getting hers done. "Princess Momo of Japan... it's a pleasure to see you, your majesty" I bowed to her. When I looked back up, we laughed. Momo and I are really good friends, just like me, she came from a royal blood line. She stepped down from the pedestal.

"Princess Mia, it's so good to see you again. I was supposed to surprise you at the ball but tah dah!"

"I heard from Yoongi you wasn't going to make it, I was so upset" I faked pouted at my friend, who took my hands into hers.

 "Yeah, almost due to business but... I made time to come and party with you my lady. I had to see you shine on that throne, when they announced your coronation day" Momo smiled with glee.

When she smiled, I frown knowing that ball was supposed to be my announcement for coronation release day but I told her that it was changed to the announcement of my arrange marriage... when the future king will be picked. Her face when into a frown when hearing that, then she came up with something.

"I found plot hole in that law Mia, you can't be queen IF you don't be married to someone right. You have to be married in order to become queen, but what if you get the crown and divorce him the next day. That law never states that you had to rule with him once you become queen"

I never thought that before, this is why I love Momo so... she just came up with a plan. I turn to Jin and Jimin, their eyes were shocked as well. "Momo, I need you around more often" I laughed.
