Let's now turn to Yehovah's health law given in Leviticus 11. Again, I'm of the position that Yehovah is unchanging and cannot lie. So can we just dismiss the health guidelines outlined in Leviticus 11? It was done away with right? Peter had a vision of unclean animals and that means they are now fine to eat right? Wrong! Peter's vision was just that a vision and the interpretation is given by Peter immediately afterwards. It simply was Yehovah's way of revealing to Peter the time had come to preach the gospel to the gentiles! Another scripture that is twisted to allow you to eat your bacon without guilt is,
17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. (Matthew 15:17-18)
This means we can eat anything we want, right? No! Yeshua was simply teaching the spiritual aspect of the law and stating that Yehovah looks upon the desires of the heart and if those desires are evil that is what defiles a man. So I'm sorry, bacon is off the table and into the garbage for me, I will keep Yehovah's health law as He gave it so many millennia ago.
