However, God had a way of opening my eyes that I might see. He began by sharing with me faith promoting physical evidence of the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ known as the heartland theory. This strengthened my testimony of the Book of Mormon considerably. I had always had a problem understanding the MesoAmerican theory for the location of the peoples of the Book of Mormon. The heartland theory, based on the prophetic mission of the authors of the Nephite peoples, made so much sense and with the uncovering of DNA, as well as many other non-church archaeological discoveries it solidified the fact that it was truly the Word of God.
