one month later (sorry for all the time skips sgjksjfks)
for about a month now iris and lilia had been posing as a couple. at first, it was hard to act naturally as a couple, but after a few weeks they got the hang of it. it was almost as if they weren't fake dating.
both of them knew they had feelings for each other, but they were scared to admit it.
after all, they haven't had their first kiss yet.
key word; yet.
it was now september, millie's favorite time of the year. it always had been. the month always treated her and her friends well and sent good vibes her way. to start the month off, finn and her finally went on their first date since they got back together. it was great, the pair got to know each other once more.
since then, they hadn't gone on any dates. but they were getting along great. it was like they never broke up. today was a thursday, a cold and breezy thursday that millie didn't expect.
so there she was, sitting at the lunch table with her jean shorts and nirvana t-shirt, the wind blowing all in her face, making her shiver.
"mills why didn't you bring a sweater?!" sadie asked as she took a seat next to the shivering girl, rubbing her hands up and down her arms in attempt to warm her up. "because i didn't think it was going to be cold!" she defended, smacking sadie's hand off.
sadie smirked and went back over to where caleb was sitting and talking to gaten.
about 7 minutes later, the rest of the group comes. they're all dressed for the weather and poor millie is left shivering.
that is until her boyfriend kindly offers her his hoodie. "finn no! then you'll be cold." she protested, but before she could say anything he was already putting his sweater on her cold body.
immediately, she was warmed up and comforted in a way — his strong scent of cigars and strawberries? that's new — made her feel at home. "see baby! now you're warm." he said proudly, putting an arm around her shoulder.
millie sighed and leaned her head on his shoulder. "this is one of the many reasons i love you." millie said, but only do he could hear it.
finn froze for a second, not being used to her saying those three words. to be honest, he doesn't think he'll ever get used to it.
millie's love meant everything to him, and just for her to tell him that she loved him meant more than she'll ever know. finn shook his head lightly, snapping out of the daze he was in.
