iris stomped through the hallways of the school, trying to get as far away as possible from jack.

why was he here in he first place?!

"iris! get back here!!" jack yelled. she could hear his heavy footsteps behind him, so she started to run. she turned a corner where there was a door to behind the school.

before she could even turn around, there jack was, standing in front of her. "you're not going to run away this time, iris." he said. iris scoffed.

"fine. care to explain yourself?! explain why the hell you're here and messing with my friends lives? acting like you're a new student? like you actually want to be their friends?" she spat harshly.

jack just smirked, "there are just some things that you, don't need to know!" iris' emerald eyes went dark. "WHY DO YOU KEEP RUINING MY LIFE!!!" she yelled, backing up.

tears started to well in her eyes. jack's face went from all snarky to surprised. she let out a shaky breath. "all i've ever done for you is listen, whatever you want. but it's just never enough is it?"

jack looked down, why do i feel bad about this.

"i've been there for you since we were kids, jack. KIDS! and what have you done for me? besides boss me around and treat me like garbage? asked me to do your dirty work? you've done nothing! and i'm so done with it. SO DONE!"

"i don't want to be a part of this anymore. i'm out." she said, then walked away in the other direction before jack could say anything else.

after the fight, iris left school.

she couldn't stand being in the same place as jack. she needed some space.

her head needed to be cleared, she was over jack. over this secret agency thing. iris just wanted to be iris, no baggage. no more secrets.

easier said that done though.

she dug her phone from her pocket, dialing the one person she knew she could trust.

the line rang once, twice, three times. "cmon, pick up..." iris mumbled, chewing at her nails. just as the call was about to go to voicemail, iris heard a familiar, refreshing voice.

"lillis here."

"sophia? it's iris. i need your help."
