iris blushed at the sudden outburst from the group. "haha... um, hi guys." she said awkwardly, waving at them. "lilia.... can we talk, it'll just take a sec." sadie said without getting a response from the short blonde haired girl.
"w-what's wrong?" lilia asked, twirling the ring on her middle finger. "um! did millie tell you that her very first boyfriend cheated on her with iris??" lilia was about to say something but sadie cut her off,
"AND iris was the reason of finn and millie's first fight and almost breakup." sadie explained, eyebrows furrowing together.
lilia stumbled at her words, she didn't know what to say. except for the fact that she knew iris wouldn't ever do that just to have a couple break up.
she wasn't like that, she was a good person once you got beneath the thick layer of protectiveness that she's had over herself since she was little.
it was something that she just started doing because she broke at such a young age and she didn't wanna get hurt like that again.
before lilia could say anything, the bell rang, and the students went off to class. "i- we can deal with this at lunch. lilia, i love you so much and please don't take this the wrong way. i'll support you no matter what, but we need to have a little talk later." millie said, holding lilia's warm hand, then walking quickly to first period with sadie.
"this is a mess i hoped i wouldn't ever have to deal with again." millie said, shaking her head, sadie nodded. "hey, it'll be fine. i'm sure iris has.... changed. she seemed less maniacal than the last time we saw her."
millie nodded, slipping her hand into sadie's, a nervous habit she'd developed when they were young, it was comforting and sadie was glad she could help.
first period finally started and millie's head was fuzzy the whole time, how could lilia be dating iris?!
and she didn't listen for the rest of the period.

45 minutes later and sadie was getting frustrated.
"dude. millie! hello??" she heard being called and she snapped out of it. "what? yeah sorry i wasn't listening." she said to whoever was talking to her, it was sadie. and the classroom was empty. "come on! the bell's rung we gotta gooo!!" sadie said quickly, stuffing papers in millie's bag for her.
"wait what?" millie asked, had she really been thinking for that long? "it's second period! you have art and i have PE! let's go before im late, your teacher doesn't give a shit."
