Chapter Seventy-Nine: Fire, Ice, Invisibility, Wind (And Beauty.)

---

Evelyn's POV~

"This serpent boy has been watching us for God knows how long! He is most likely the reason why King Preston is growing more and more wary of us every day, I bet he has been feeding him false information!" I exclaimed.

I was staring at everyone in disbelief, unable to comprehend the fact that someone had been listening in on our private conversations for the past weeks.

"Wait," Kace was struggling to register what I had revealed too, "so King Preston ordered this boy to keep his eyes on us in case we were to plan anything against him?" He queried.

I nodded frantically before pulling Antony up by the collar and throwing him to the ground. "Your shadow magic won't work within these walls boy, so you best start talking."

"I never reported anything false to Master Preston!" Antony squealed like a baby, making me question his age. He did look quite young, possibly under the age of 18.

"Then what have you managed to report to him thus far?" Uncle Oberyn walked away from the stone table central of the room, and marched over to my side. He towered over the boy and firmly folded his arms over his chest.

Antony was brave for a young boy. He had yet to cry. He managed to sit up and tremble his way back up to his two feet. "I- I told him you wanted Natalya to sacrifice her life."

I immediately facepalmed with both hands as I heard Ashira pipe up. "Did you happen to tell him why we required her for a sacrifice?"

Peaking through my fingers, I urgently looked at the young boy for an answer. I was quite relieved when he nodded, to say the least. "I told him that you required her in order to bring back the peace that once was and that although you still wanted him to take the crown, you were beginning to doubt his intentions for the war."

"Do you know if he has told Natalya that yet?" I desperately questioned in a panic, and he gulped shaking his head.

"I only told him earlier today, milady," Antony was trying to keep his head high but I could tell the nerves were starting to fight against him, his fingers were shaking.

The Black Witch Aeliana hummed, "then is King Preston definitely wary of us, child?"

Antony nodded honestly, "I cannot tell you much more, they will kill me if I do."
