Chapter Fifty-Two: Don't Break The Ice.

----

Cathryn's POV~

"This is Oberyn's doing, no doubt about it in my mind. He and those witches will burn one day," Raymon Hunter angrily growled.

Raymon Hunter, the alpha of the werewolves, Dario's father had arrived not long ago along with two others and we had warmly welcomed them, yet already he had been caught up chaos.

Myself, my two brothers, my mother and father, the royal council, the kings' guard leader and Richard Harris were having a very informative and useful meeting... Only for it to last an hour or two before a Knight's squire came bursting through the doors to alert us about the disaster arising throughout Aeralin.

We dashed out the castle and although I was informed to stay with my mother and the council, I insisted on trailing behind my brothers.

I told Alaric and Derek to stand as the main guards of the castle in the absence of Roger and Thomas who had come out to defend us, the two most experienced guards amongst all the others that serve us.

Now we were all scattered in different parts of Aeralin trying to bring order back to the region by either killing or compelling the humans and vampires that had been turned into rebels by dark magic.

"Oberyn thinks he is smart, I should have killed him when I had the chance, he didn't learn his lesson," Zac ferociously decapitated a wildly running girl's head from her body.

He was mad beyond words, his ears were hypothetically letting out steam and his eyes were sparking with fury.

I whipped around baring my fangs at a vampire boy who was seconds away from pouncing on me.

Seconds later, my hand rammed into his chest and then left his body with his bloody heart in my hand, which I carefreely dropped to the gravel.

"Yeah we should have killed him, who knows what he'll do next? He is a skilled, experienced witch-vampire with magic that we don't have supporting our side anymore," Xander side-stepped back towards us, keeping his eyes locked on the chaos happening in Aeralin.

We have King Preston who may be capable of much more than just this on our team. So, at least we know he isn't the cause of this and that the witches are.

I wobbled suddenly struggling to stay balanced, stretching my arms out in hopes of my feet staying fixed in position.

The ground was shaking from my furious father's use of his earthly ability which was making the savages of people drop unconscious one by one.

I narrowed my deadly eyes at a small man who tried to attack Zac from behind and the man shrieked at the excruciating pain I was forcing him to feel through my ability.

Zac sent me a thankful nod and hopped around to tear the man's head from his shoulders.

"This has to be a threat and if this is just a small fragment of what those witches are capable of then we need to make sure we are ready for this war," I said worriedly.

I fear the worst.

Raymon Hunter nodded in agreement, violently clawing a boy who jumped at him out of his sight using his sharp claws, "the demons are on our side, right?"
