Last Chapter Recap:

Omar (Zac and Natalya's servant spy) overheard the Queen Melisandre revealing to Princess Cathryn that she knows who Natalya truly is. Isabella Valentine's daughter and the great-granddaughter of the great Andrea Driarco. But, the King, Alexander and Zac are yet to find that out.

King Preston claims he found Daya El Rigo, the man both Natalya's great-grandmother Andrea and mother Isabella used to meet behind closed doors, and the man who may possibly have all the answers that Natalya has been searching for, however, El Rigo is located in Natalya's home region, Icilia. A place Natalya dreads to go back to because of the village fire, and the sad memories.

Meanwhile, after visiting the witches, Alaric was given a ruby portal stone from the black witch, which allows him, Zac, Cassandra, Xavier, Chris and Derek to easily get to the Shadowlands from the region of Icilia. So, they too have also set off for Icilia in hopes of being able to open the portal and get Natalya back from the Shadowlands.

But since they are both heading for Icilia, there is a high chance that they may bump into each other along the way... God forbid.

Chapter Seventy: The Return to Icilia - PART 1

----

Natalya's POV~

I don't care for Prince Zachary or his mother, so why is it bothering me that Preston wants to rid of the people that dragged me through more hell than I'd ever thought possible?

Maybe because for months I had grown into the lady I am with the support of the royals, maybe because I looked at Princess Cathryn as if she'd always been a sister of mine, maybe because Alexander was the sweetest guy I'd met in a long time, maybe because King Creon treated me as one of his own, or maybe because I actually liked Prince Zachary, and did in fact care for the Queen.

No, it's all mumbo-jumbo. I cannot really believe that they are good people, I cannot forget the torture they made me endure.

I don't care for him. Nor do I care for the rest of them.

The only ones who I trusted of their kind, and who were true to my heart was my brother and Harrison. I couldn't trust my last relatives anymore, after Ella, Marcus and Aunt Roslin, who could blame me? I know that my parents had put their trust in Todd to give me the Nixon necklace I wear every day of my life now, but that really didn't mean anything in a world of betrayal.

"Are you sure you are fine with him killing Prince Zachary? I know how complicated your relationship was with him back in Asten, and I won't judge you if you have feelings for hi-"
