Chapter 1: Miles and Gwen (Part 1)

Six months passed by after the collider accident in Miles's Dimension. Miles didn't saw any of his Spider friends except Gwen, with her he met last weekend, they went to watch a movie together called "La La Land." He was not a big fan of this movie, but Gwen liked it, so he went to it just to spend some time with Gwen. Miles tried to spend every weekend with her. Because from the moment he met her at Physics class in Visions Academy when she laughed at his Einstein joke, he had feelings for her, and maybe she had feelings for him too if he would not rip off half of her hair with his hands in the hall of Visions Academy. So he was scared to tell her because she might not feel the same way, so they were just friends. The weekend was about to start, so he was getting ready to meet Gwen in a few hours and ice skating.

After few hours of preparing, Miles was standing in a park and was waiting for Gwen. He was dressed in a red hoodie, dark green jacket, gray shorts, and his Nike shoes that he tied to avoid looking embarrassed in front of Gwen. He was also wearing his spider suit underneath all of this so he would be ready for everything. He waited and waited until he felt someone was touching his shoulder. He looked around and saw Gwen standing in front of him wearing a blue skirt and gray sweater on top of a white shirt and her spider suit underneath all of this.

"Hi Miles.", she said by smiling at him. "Hi Gwen, You look awesome," Miles answered by also smiling at her. He liked when she smiled, it was the cutest smile he ever saw. "Thanks for the compliment, Miles. You too look not bad," she replied and then continued. "You too are ready for everything." "What do you mean?" Miles asked. She looked at his hands covered in gloves from the suit and then looked back at him. "Oh, you mean the suit..." Miles answered, looking nervous but then continued. "I think that is how Spider life is. Always be prepared for anything". Now he looked not that nervous, and then Gwen replied with a smile. "Yeah, I think that's how it is."

Then Gwen and Miles were just standing in an awkward silence looking at each other for a few minutes, but then Miles said."Your hair stayed the same from that moment..." "Yeah, it's. I kind of liked the haircut that you gave me, so I thought I would keep it for a while". Gwen answered, touching her hair with her arm. Then Miles looked at his phone and saw the time. "Oh crap!" It was almost 7:00 PM, and they might be late for ice skating. "What is wrong, Miles?" Gwen asked him, looking confused. "It is almost 7:00 PM, and if we would not want to be late for ice skating, then we better need to hurry!" Miles answered. "Then let's go!" Gwen said and started to run to the ice arena. "What are you waiting for?" She asked Miles that was standing like a statue in one place. He smiled and answered, "I'm coming, I'm coming!" And started to run after Gwen.

At ice skating, Miles and Gwen asked each other about what each of them was doing this week. "I didn't do anything fun this week, just a lot of homework and all the superhero stuff." He said by looking at Gwen, and he added. "What did you do this week?" "Umm, pretty much the same," Gwen answered and also looked at Miles. Then there was this awkward silence again in which nobody didn't know what to say. But eventually, Gwen broke the silence by asking. "Hey, how about racing to the other side of the arena? The loser buying ice cream for both." "Ok, deal!" Miles replied and started skating to the other side. But he wanted Gwen to win so he could look at her beautiful smile once more. So sometimes, he lowered his speed so Gwen could catch up and get ahead of him.

Gwen was skating at high speed and was a few meters away from a finish line. So she turned her head to see how Miles was doing. He was usually sliding, enjoying the time with Gwen, and hoped she felt the same way. But all of a sudden, his spider-sense started tingling as he saw that few guys were skating on Gwen at high speed, so Miles sped up trying to reach Gwen. He took her hand and pulled her to himself. So they both landed on ice with Gwen on top of Miles.

When Gwen got up, she asked angrily. "What the hell, Miles!?" Then she looked at the few boys who skated at high speed just behind her. And then she understood why Miles did it and then looked back at him didn't know what to say. "Ohh, Umm..." "You're welcome," Miles said to Gwen with sadness on his face and then got up on his feet and went to the exit to take off his skates. He was holding to his right foot with his hand. At the same time, Gwen was standing in one place and felt guilty thinking to herself. "He just wanted to help me, and I screamed at him. You're an idiot, Gwen..." Then she shouted, "Miles, wait up!" And also skated to the exit.
