Spider-Man: Back to the Spider-Verse

Chapter 4: The Next Morning.

It was now two o'clock at night and Miles get up from the sofa on which he was sleeping while Gwen was sleeping on his bed. And went to his room. He slowly opened the door so he won't wake up Gwen, and went into the room, he looked for her backpack in which her teleport should have been. He had very good vision because he was bitten by a spider so he found the backpack very fast. He slowly walked towards it, took backpack and started to unzip it very slowly so it would not make very loud noise. But backpack also made that noise that any backpack does when you unzip it. And at that moment it was the loudest noise ever. Miles looked at Gwen to make sure she didn't woke up, but she was sleeping as she was dead, it looks like this day really made her go thru a lot. When Miles opened Gwen's backpack, he saw a lot of different stuff, like hairbrush, small mirror, phone-charger, wallet, and the thing that really caught Miles's attention was picture of Gwen and Peter from her dimension. Miles knew that he did not do the right thing 'cause if Gwen will find out that he was looking thru her backpack, she would kill him. But finally Miles found the teleport, closed the backpack, and went out of the room closing the door behind him. "Ok, it's time to get to work, the faster I finish, the more I could sleep." Miles said and sat on the chair near the kitchen table. He started to look at the teleport from different sides and then after some time he get up from a chair and walked to grab instruments. First he took off the back of the teleport to look what did broke inside. Some of it he could easily fix using instruments and his web. But some of them he couldn't fix so he needed to get new parts for it. And he didn't know where to find them. And then he get an idea to swing to store and buy some tech from which he could build new parts. So he took some of his money that was he hiding for some important moment's such as this one, then he put his costume on and swing to the store. It was 3 o'clock when Miles returned back to his apartment with the bag full of some stuff. Gwen was still sleeping which was good. So Miles took off his costume and put his pajama back on. Then he took out the stuff that he bought. It was some flash drive, a teapot, hard drive and other things. Miles started to take off some parts from the stuff he bought, then modernize them and put into a teleport.

It was 8 o'clock in the morning. Gwen get up from the bed and walked into the hall to check on Miles. She saw sleeping him on a sofa with mouth open. Gwen giggled a little bit and then walked towards the kitchen. She saw a note from Miles that said. "Hope you like it!" Then Gwen looked at the teleport that lay near the note. Gwen was shocked, the teleport was repaired and was working for 100%. She didn't know what to say so she was just standing there. But then she thought that she needed to thank Miles some how. And then she get an idea that she could maybe make a breakfast for him as thanks for what he did for her. So she started to look over Miles's kitchen to find something to cook. She opened a fridge and looked in it. She saw some eggs, soup, and some other stuff that Rio cooked for Miles when she was not home so Miles would have some food to eat. So Gwen took eggs from a fridge, then after some time of exploring Miles's kitchen, she found a frying pan. Gwen had a very big experience in cooking because sometimes when her dad was not at home because of the police work she needed to make food for her so to make scrambled eggs was very easy.

While Gwen was cooking scrambled eggs. Miles woke up because of the smell that was filling the room. He stood up from the sofa and saw Gwen that was standing in the kitchen. He was wondering what was she doing there, so he started to walk towards her. When Miles walked towards Gwen and was about to say something. Gwen's Spider-sense started to tingling. So she turned and thrown a frying pan and box of eggs at Miles. Miles get to catch the pan but didn't catch the eggs that fell on him and broke. "OMG! I'm so sorry Miles!" Gwen shouted noticing what she did. She didn't know what to say so Miles said. "It's ok Gwen. It's just your Spider-sense and it is mostly my fault that I did walked to you like that. I'm pretty sure I would done the same thing if I was you..." Then he stoped and then again said. "Oh, I didn't mean that I will throw a pan and eggs in you..." "I know what you meant Miles, and I appreciate your help." Gwen answered and was about to pull Miles into a hug. But Miles stepped away and said "Sorry, I don't want to ruin your clothes with the broken eggs that is spilled over me." "Oh... of course..." Gwen answered. "I will go, umm, take a shower and change into other clothes, and then clean here." Miles said and walked towards the shower. But Gwen thought that it would be unfair that Miles would clean up a mess that she did so she took a towel and started to clean the floor while Miles was in a shower.

When Miles walked out of a shower with a new clothes on, he saw that the floor was cleaned, sofa was cleaned and there were some food on the table. "That's a least I could do for you." Gwen said smiling a little bit. "Oh Gwen, you shouldn't have." Miles answered and sat on the chair next to the table. "Of course, I should have. You fixed my teleport and this is my thanks to you." Gwen said and also sat on the chair next to the table. Miles thought for the second that Gwen could have had feelings for him. Then Miles started to eat soup that Gwen warmed up in the microwave. And then he looked at her. "Why you don't eat anything?" He asked. "Oh, I'm not hungry." She answered. "okay." Miles replied and continued eating his soup. But when he was about to put a spoon of soup in his mouth. He felt on the floor and started to glitch same as Peter. Gwen jumped out of her chair and walked as fast as she could to Miles. "Miles are you ok?" She asked. "I don't think so." Miles was saying very slow because of every atom in his body was glitching so he couldn't even move. And then the portal open on top of them and they were sucked into it and started to travel through dimensions. To be continued...
