Chapter 12: End of a Week.

Gwen was walking on the streets of New York to the hospital to see Miles. She had earbuds in and was listening to a music that her group in her dimension did create. Sometimes she was imitating that her fingers are a drum sticks and she was on her concert with her band playing on her drums. After a 30 minute walk, Gwen was near the hospital. She walked in and walked towards the appointment table. "Hello, I'm here to see Miles Morales." Gwen said. "Ok, you have 30 minutes, let me navigate you to his ward." The doctor said and stood up from his chair. "Thank you for your help, but I know where his ward is." Gwen said and walked towards the hall. Before she would walk into the ward. She put on the doctors white bathrobe and walked in. It was a real nightmare for her to see Miles laying unconscious in his bed. She took a deep breath and sat on the chair next to Miles. "Hey Miles. It's me, Gwen. I hope you feel better and would soon wake up. School is kind of not the same without you in it. Ganke did said "Hi" to you, he also hopes you would soon wake up. There is also a new guy in school, Gary Osborn. He is kind of a real pig." Gwen said. For next 20 minutes Gwen talked about a lot of things that happened in her life. Then the doctor walked in the room and said. "You have 5 minutes miss." And closed the door. "I guess it's time for me to go. But Miles, please, keep fighting for your life for all of us, for me." Gwen said, stood up from the chair and kissed Miles in a cheek very fast and left the room. When Gwen walked out of the room, she put a doctors white bathrobe where it was and walked out of the hospital.

It was about 7 PM and Gwen was sitting in a cafe with a coffee and a sandwich. There was no crime in this dimension and in hers dimension and her dad would not be at home for about a week. So there was nothing for her to do. She was just sitting in a cafe looking through the social media. Then the police car pulled over the cafe and Miles mom walked out of it and walked into the cafe. "Hello, I did ordered a food in your cafe can I please have it." Rio said to one of the customers and then noticed a Gwen sitting at one of the tables. "Here is your food ma'am." Customer said and put a bag of food on the table. "Thank You." Rio said, took a bag and walked towards Gwen. "Hi Gwen, can I sit here?" Rio asked. "HI Rio, of course you can." Gwen said. "So what are you doing here? Waiting for someone?" Rio asked. "No! I'm just eating my dinner." Gwen replied. "So, where would you stay tonight?" Rio asked. "My friend has a couch in her room. So I would stay there for a weekends." Gwen said. "So why you are not staying at your house?" Rio asked again. "Oh, my father is just out of the city for a week. And I just don't want  to stay at my house." Gwen replied. "Well, how about you are going to stay with us for a weekend?" Rio replied. "Oh, I don't know..." Gwen said with little bit of confusion. "Oh come on Gwen. You are a very good friend for my son. Which means that you are our friend too. So don't be shy, come on." Rio said. "Ok." Gwen replied and both of them stood up from a table and went out of the cafe and sat in the police car where Jeff was waiting for them. Gwen sat on the back seat and Rio on the front seat. "Hi Jeff." Gwen said while sitting down into the car. "Oh, Hi Gwen." Jeff said. "Would you mind Jeff if Gwen would stay at our house for the weekends?" Rio asked him. "Of course not. You can stay for long as you like." "Thank you very much. For letting my stay at your house." Gwen said with a smile. "Of course." Jeff said and started to drive the car towards their house.

It was already 8 PM and Gwen with Miles's parents arrived to their house. Rio opened the door to the house and walked in. "Make yourself at home." Rio said. And then Jeff closed the front door when everyone walked in."Thank You," Gwen said. "Where I can lay down?" She continued. "You can lay down on the bed at Miles's room. And don't worry the bad is perfectly clean." Rio said and smiled. "Oh, ok." Gwen said and smiled back. "But can I take a shower first." She continued. "Of course, the bathroom is straight down the hall on the left. Towel's are in there." Rio said. "Thank you again." Gwen said and took her backpack and went to the bathroom. " She is a good girl." Rio said to Jeff. "Yeah, she is." Jeff replied and then they went to their room to go to sleep. After 15 minutes Gwen walked out of the bathroom with the pajama on her and went to the Miles's room and quickly fell a sleep.

In the morning when Gwen opened her eyes. Miles's room looked very differently. She could see mostly everything then when it was dark. She stood up from a bed and started to walk around the room and looking on different stuff. She found a few speakers that were all around the room. A few posters on a room. Few books on a shelf. And a picture on top of the Miles's desk that made Gwen smile. It was a picture of their Spider Squad but in a regular clothes. And Miles was hugging Gwen very tight in the middle of a photo. Then Gwen looked at a drawing table, and found a very interesting drawing that was not yet finished. It was a drawing of her in a spider costume. That  made Gwen blush and at the same time smile. Then the Rio walked in a room. "Good Morning Gwen." Rio said. "Good Morning." Gwen replied. "The breakfast is ready, let's go eat." Rio replied. "Ok" Gwen said and walked out of the room closing the door behind her. While they were eating their breakfast which were scrambled eggs. Jeff asked Gwen. "So, Gwen. How long do you and Miles know each other?" "Um, for about half a year, maybe little bit more." Gwen said. "And what kind of relationship do you have?" Jeff asked another question. "Oh, we are now just friends. Nothing more I guess." Gwen said. "Jeff, stop terrorizing Gwen." Rio said. "Let's eat our breakfast and then decide what we will do on this weekends." She continued and started to eat her lunch.

Authors Note: I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I didn't even thought that I would finish this chapter today because I did started it only in the morning. But here I am. I don't know what to say more. So just going to say have a nice day or night. See you.
