Spider-Man: Back to the Spider-Verse

Chapter 20: The Green Goblin.

It was 12 o'clock in the night and Miles couldn't sleep. He was still thinking what Gwen said to him and that some rich guy wants to kill him. He knew that if even Gary would take his blood it won't work and would kill Gary even faster and not save him. Miles didn't understood how he knew this, but... he knew. So Miles get an idea to meet Gary and say it to him. But not as a students but as a Spider Man. So Miles put on his costume and jumped out of his window and then closing it behind him. It was a long way up for Miles. About 50 floors maybe even more. So he connected to the Oscorp Tower with both of his hands and both of his feet. And started to go up.

In about 20 floors, Miles already was tired. So he leaned with his back on the building and turned around facing the city. His eyes at that moment went wide, because he was somewhere on the 70 floor and it was the highest point he ever get as Spider Man. From that point the city looked very small and the clouds were near and there were not much oxygen. Then after some rest, Miles get an idea to not to climb up the building but run up the building. He never did that but it looked like it would be interesting to try. So Miles turned around facing the building. Then he unconnected his hands from a building. And in a second he was standing verticaly on the building with only feet connected to it and facing the dark sky. Then Miles started to slowly make steps, one by one like a small baby that only starts to walk. Then he started to increase his speed and in a few seconds he was already running up the building. Miles was kind of impressed that he could do this but then he stumbled on something and in a second he was already falling down. So he quickly shot a web into the building and flew into one of the windows. Now he was standing in a hall. ''Next time, I would take an elevator." Miles said while catching his breath and then walked towards the elevator. While Miles was waiting for an elevator, few students from his class came to him. It was two guys who always liked to make fun of Miles. "Hey Spider-Man what are you doing here?" One of them asked. It looked like he was drunk and other one was too. "Oh, I'm just here to meet my friend." Miles said trying to imitate an adult. "And who is your friend?" Other student asked. And it looked like it was a good time for little revenge. "Miles Morales." Miles said. That made both of them stop for the second and then they started to laugh. "Your friend is Morales. This loser." Student said and then started to laugh again. "Hey, Spidey, do you want to join as we got some alcohol and some good stuff in our room. " One of them said. And then the elevator rang and the doors opened so Miles didn't need to answer this stupid question. He pushed the 101 button in the elevator and the doors started to close. But before the completely closed, Miles shoot a web at both of the students and they connected to the wall behind them. "See you." Miles said and doors of the elevator closed.

In a few minutes Miles arrived at the 101 floor. Gary's office was the only room on that floor so when Miles walke out of the elevator he khocked on the door and it automatically opened in front of him. Then Miles walked in the doors behind him closed and the light turned on in the room. "It's nice to see you Spider-Man, I guess you are here for a reason." Gary said and turned around facing Miles. He was sitting in a big leather chair and had a gun in his hand. "I heard you needed my blood. And I'm here to talk about that." Miles said trying to imitate adults voice so Gary would not recognize him. "So go on." Gary said. "My blood would not help you. I was bitten by a radioactive spider and it is a miracle how I survived. But if you would take my blood and would put it in your veins. You would 100% die at the same second." Miles was saying until Gary did interupted him. "Enough! I don't wanna hear anyhting of this. I'm getting your blood and I'm getting it now!" Gary said and pulled out a gun and started to shoot at Miles. But Miles with his spider sense avoided the bullets that flew in him. "Was you even listening to what I said!" Miles said and then shoot a web into a gun and threw it away. And then shot a web into Gary that connected him to a wall. "You won't get my blood. Deal with it." Miles said and jumped into a window and started to fall down. Then he connected to a wall of the building and connected with his hands and feet to a wall near the window to his room. He quietly opened the window and crawled in the room. Then he quietly closed the window behind him, pulled off his mask and his suit, put pajama on and went to sleep.
