Chapter 8: Memories

Miles went searching for Gwen after she ran out crying. Miles was walking straight thru the hall and heard a sobbing coming thru some door. Miles walked to it and knocked on the door. "Gwen, are you in here?" Miles asked. "Miles please, go away, I need some time alone." Gwen said. He could hear from the door she was crying. "Ok, I'm always here if you need me." Miles said and walked to the gym that was located in a same building. He didn't want to say that Gwen accidentally ran into the Miles's room, he doesn't want her to feel also embarrassed. When Miles walked into a gym, he saw a punching bag, treadmill and few other things. Then he saw a gym clothes and a towel that was always there. So he changed into the gym clothes. And then he thought that the only thing that could clear his mind was a punching bag, so he bandaged his hands and started to punch a punching bag as hard as he could to clear his mind. While he was punching the punching bug a few memories went thru his head. How he met Gwen, how Gwen went back to her dimension, how they had a fun time together, how she stayed for a night at his house, and how she cared about him and then how Miguel did hurt her. And at that time when this last memories came thru his head he get so angry that the electricity in his hand started to pile up and then when he punched the punching bag, it unhooked from the ceiling and went straight in a wall. Then Miles looked at his hand that was covered with electricity. "Wow." Miles said. And then he walked to the punching bag, picked it up and connected back to the ceiling.

Then he went to grab a towel and wipe his face with it and also take the bandage from his hands. He sat on the bench, wiped his face and was about to take off bandages when he heard the knock on the door.  "Come in." Miles said. And then Gwen came into the gym. "Hey." Gwen said. "Hey." Miles replied. "Can I..." Gwen said and looked at the bench on which Miles was sitting. "Yeah, of course Gwen." Miles said and moved to let Gwen sit down next to him. "So what caused you to punch a punching bag that hard and made your hand burst out that much electricity?" Gwen asked and sat down on the bench near Miles. "Well, it's just emotions I guess." Miles replied. "How are you feeling?" Miles continued. "I'm fine, better than I was." Gwen said with a smile. "Good, I'm glad you feeling better." Miles replied and started to take bandages off his hands. First he took bandage off one hand and then he was started to take out bandage from the other hand. His hand started to hurt. So he took it with his other hand. "Are you ok?" Gwen asked. "Yes, yes, I'm good." Miles replied. "Don't lie to me Miles." Gwen said and took Miles's hand. When Gwen looked at it, she saw some abrasions on the hand. "It looks like this hand suffered more than the other. I'm gonna get medical kit." Gwen said and stood up from the bench to get medical kit. "You don't need to do it." Miles said. But Gwen didn't listen to him. She opened medical kit, took some medical stuff. "It would hurt a little bit." Gwen said and started to handle a wound. Miles bit his lip to hold back the pain. Then Gwen took bandages and started to cover Miles's hand with it. Miles was looking at Gwen and was happy that she cares about him and he cares about her. "That's it." Gwen said and closed the medical kit. "Thanks Gwen." Miles replied and looked at his hand. "It looks like you have a skill of handling this kind of situations." Miles continued. "Yeah, kind of." Gwen said and smiled. Then there was an awkward silence but then Miles broke it. "Umm, I'm gonna go to the shower." said. "Oh, ok, then I'm gonna go to sleep." Gwen said. "It was nice talking to you." Miles said before Gwen would disappear into the hall. "Same, Good Night." Gwen replied and disappear into the hall. "Good Night." Miles said and went to the shower.

It was 12:00 PM on the clock. And someone was touching Miles's shoulder. "Miles, Miles!" Voice said. Then when Miles opened his eyes he saw Gwen standing near his bed in her pajama. "Gwen, what's up?" Miles said with one eye opened. "I can't sleep in my room." Gwen said. "Why?" Miles asked. "Well, after this accident with Miguel, I can't sleep." Gwen replied. "So can I sleep in your room?" Gwen continued. "Yeah, of course." Miles said and moved to let Gwen lay near him. And then he fell in a sleep. Gwen looked at him and smiled and then laid on a bed near him and fell a sleep. At 9:00 AM, Miles woke up, he opened his eyes and saw Gwen's hand laying on his face, and her mouth was open. So Miles very carefully took Gwen's hand and moved it off his face so he could stand up. When Miles walked out of his room, he looked around. Then he went to Peter's room to hope to find him in there. But Peter was not in his room and was not here yesterday mostly all day. Then Miles thought to check on Miguel, Miles didn't really wanted to talk to Miguel but maybe Miguel knew where Peter was. But Miguel was also not in his room. Then Miles went into a hall, and started to look around to find somebody. But then he saw some figure moving towards the building. It was Peter, he was swinging using one hand and with other holding his chest. Then when Peter was already near the building, you could see that he was in some fight and was very injured. Peter flew straight into the building thru the window and was laying on the floor. "Peter, what happened?" Miles asked Peter and walked to him. "I have been in a fight with Dr. Octopus. And I loosed. So he started to do some experiments on me but I could run away when some stranger came to him, and stranger's voice was very similar, it looked like I heard it somewhere." Peter replied. "Wait, but we beat Doc Ock in my dimension?" Miles said. "It's different Doc Ock and he is much stronger." Peter replied and closed his eyes and laid his head on the floor. "Peter, Peter!" Miles said. To be continued...
