Spider-Man: Back to the Spider-Verse

Chapter 22: Walk back home.

Gwen was quickly packing her stuff in her backpack at her room when her Dad walked in. "Hey Gwen. Where are you packing up so quickly?" He asked. "Hi dad. I said to you like 100 times, I'm going to visit my... friend for the weekend." Gwen replied. She didn't want to say her dad that her friend is a guy who she kissed and love. Because her father would not let her go before she would tell about him. So she lied. She then quickly packed all the other stuff in her backpack and closed it. She then put her backpack on, kissed her Dad in a cheek and walked out of the apartment saying. "See you dad on Monday!" Then she walked into an alley, took off her skirt and her sweater leaving only her Spider costume on. Then she attached her teleporter to her wrist, punched in the coordinates of Miles's dimension and the portal opened in front of her in which Gwen jumped in and then teleporter closed.

At the same time, Miles was walking with Billy holding his hand. Miles was leading Billy to his parents. While they were walking. Billy said a lot different things. His mouth just didn't stopped talking. He was talking about Spider-Man and how they inspire him. Billy was also asking a lot of different questions. And Miles was happy to answer them. He was not angry on Billy for asking him a lot of question. He knew if he would meet some celebrity he would also ask that much questions. And Miles also loved kids, and he hoped that someday he would have his own child. They were already walked near park. They sat on the bench to rest for a little bit. "You live far away from your school." Miles said. "Yeah. But I'm fine with it." Billy replied. "So are you walking every day by yourself back home?" Miles asked. "Sometimes my mom picks me up but sometimes she stays at work." Billy replied. "Yeah, sometimes I have the same problem when my parents stays at work. But what about your dad?" Miles said. "My dad left us when I was still a baby." Billy said. And some tears went down on his cheeks. "Oh. I'm so sorry Billy." Miles said and hugged him. Then the portal opened in the air and Gwen flew out of it. She quickly spotted Miles in the park and landed near him. Billy's eyes went wide. It was the best day in his life. "WOW! Spider-Woman!" Billy screamed jumping off the bench. "Hey. What's your name?" Gwen asked and squatted down so her and Billy's face would be on the same level. "I'm Billy." He said. "Nice to meet you Billy. I'm..." Gwen was saying but Billy did interrupted her. "Spider-Woman." Billy finished Gwen's sentence. That made Gwen smile and giggle. "That's right." She said. "He is the real expert in Spider people." Miles said standing up from the bench. "Hey Mil... Spider-Man" Gwen said nearly giving away Miles's secret identity. "Hey Spider-Woman." Miles replied with a smile. Then they were looking at each other for a few minutes until Billy coughed so they would stop awkwardly staring at each other. "OH, let's continue our walk back home." Miles said. "Ok." Billy said taking Miles's hand. "Or how about we are going to fly to your apartment?" Miles asked. Billy's eyes went even wider. "Yeah. Let's fly!" Billy said starting to jump up and down." "Can Spider-Woman fly with us?" Billy asked. "If she wants to." Miles replied looking at Gwen. "I would be glad to fly with you." Gwen replied. "Yay!" Billy said. "Let me get your project and your backpack Billy." Gwen said and took Billy's backpack and project in her hands. Then Billy jumped on Miles's back and put his arms around Miles's chest. "Hang tight." Miles said and then shot a web into a nearby building and flew up into the air. Gwen then did the same and started to swing after them.

Miles didn't do any tricks that he does when he is flying thru the city on his own so Billy would not fall off or throw up. It was slow and peaceful flight thru the dark Brooklyn that was highlighted by a thousand of lights that shine thru the windows of every house. Fresh air was blowing into Billy's face making his hair move. Gwen was swinging behind Miles so if Billy would fall off Miles's back, Gwen could have catch him. She was worrying about Billy like he was her own child. And she was also hoping that one day she would also have a child. "There is my apartment." Billy pointed on one of the houses with his finger. Then Miles slowly landed near the apartment and took Billy of his back. Then the door opened and Billy's mom ran out of the house and hugged Billy. Billy hugged her back. Then his mom said. "Thank you Spider-Man and..." "I'm Spider-Woman." Gwen said. "Thank you guys." Billy's mom said. Then Gwen handed Billy his project and backpack and Miles took off his wrist his web shooter and connected it to Billy's wrist. But the web shooter was very big for Billy so it didn't connected to the whole wrist. "This is my present for you Billy. See you." Miles said and gave a high five to Billy. Gwen smiled and then Billy with his mom walked into their apartment and Gwen with Miles headed to Miles's apartment.

While they were swinging back home Gwen asked Miles. "So how was your week Spider-Man?" "You know you can stop calling me that way." Miles said. "I know Miles." Gwen replied. "Well, my week was ok, I have some homework for the weekends. How was your weekend?" Miles said looking at her. "Same. I also have some homework. Maybe we could do some homework together." Gwen replied. "Yeah, that would be a great idea." Miles said and then they landed on the wall of the Miles's apartment and then Miles slowly opened the window and jumped in his room. And then Gwen jumped after him. Then Miles slowly closed the window behind him and put his backpack near his bed. Then he slowly opened the door that led to the hall of the apartment. He looked around and then said. "My parents need to work late so you can go to the bathroom and change, it is..." "I know where is yours bathroom, I stayed at your house when you was in coma." Gwen said and walked towards the bathroom and then closing in it. Miles quickly changed into pajama in his room and walked in the kitchen to find something to eat.
