Chapter 7: The Talk

When Gwen walked out of a restaurant, she looked around to see where Miles is. But didn't saw him. Then she was about to shoot a web to the nearest building and fly away. But Miguel walked out of the restaurant and asked. "Where are you going?" "I just want to find Miles and talk to him, and see if he is ok." Gwen said. "I don't think he want's to see anyone now." Miguel said. He tried to convince her to stay. "I'm sure he would want to talk to me." Gwen replied. And swing away from the restaurant. When Miguel, walked back into the restaurant and sat at his table, he saw a Peter looking at him with a sadness on his smile. "What!?" Miguel asked with an anger. "I never thought that anyone like you could be that low. They love each other. You can even see it in their faces. How they look at each other. And you just trying to prevent it and make Gwen love you. But it won't work. You can't buy a love." Peter answered, and walked out of the table and went out of the restaurant. Miguel continued to sit in there but then he screamed and punched a table with his hands.

Gwen was swinging thru building to building, trying to find Miles. Then she spot some person sitting on a top of the building. It was Miles. Gwen gracefully landed behind him and sat next to him. "Miles..." Gwen said. "Hi Gwen, did Miguel send you to see me? Or are you just here to ask me how I'm feeling. Never been better, thank you." Miles said. "Why are you so angry, I never seen you like that? Is it because of Miguel?" Gwen asked. "Kind of, but it is because of you too." Miles replied. "What do you mean?" Gwen asked again. "Maybe you didn't saw it, but you became a different person when you met Miguel." Miles said and stood up on his feet. "A girl that I met in physics class was kind, strong, friendly, funny. Most important is that you had your own opinion. And now, you are just... not that girl." Miles continued. "I don't understand." Gwen was confused. "In a past few hours you was just agreeing with anything this reach boy was saying. He also trying to buy you and want to get rid of me." "How?" Gwen asked. "Expensive cars, expensive restaurants, expensive suit, cool gadgets, and all the other stuff. He even could paid a whole dinner, don't break any teleport, didn't made you fall. And all that other stuff. I think you would be a great couple someday." Miles replied. "Are you jealous Miles?" Gwen asked. "No, I'm not." Miles replied. "Yes you are." Gwen said. "And why did you think I and Miguel would become a couple?" Gwen continued. "Gwen, you never laughed from any of jokes that hard as from Miguel's, you never did smiled at anyone or looked at anyone as you are looking on Miguel for a past few hours. And I'm pretty sure that you forgot what tomorrow date is." Miles replied, he looked very sad. "Well, It's Monday." Gwen said. "It's my birthday Gwen. I said it to you like a hundred times. But you forgot... You know, It means a lot to me when my best friends know about my birthday." Miles said. "I...I..." Gwen didn't know what to say. She was so scared that she could hurt Miles and that he would die because of her but she hurt him in feelings which is even worse. She was so focused on Miguel, that she forgot about people who care about her. And was always there for her. Then the phone rang in Gwen's pocket. Gwen took it out and looked at it, it was the message from Miguel. "Can you please come back to the building, I need something to show you. It is very important." Message said. "It looks like we need to go." Gwen said. "I'm pretty sure, Miguel only wants to see you and I'm just going to be unwanted person in your conversation." Miguel replied. "Miles, you will never be unwanted." Gwen said taking Miles's hands. "Let's go." She said and jumped from the building. Miles jumped from the building after her and started to swing next to her. He started to feel better swinging next to Gwen and talking to her. He started to think that he really is not an unwanted person. When they arrived to the building. Gwen walked to Miguel and asked. "Hey, What's up?" Miles was standing behind her with hands in his pocket. "Can you please leave as alone Miles?" Miguel asked. Miles first thought that he would not answer anything and just leave but then he saw how Gwen looked at him and he remembered her words. "You will never be unwanted." So he said. "You know, I will better stay." Miles said and he saw a smile on Gwen's face appear that made him happy. "So what is the important thing you need to show me?" Gwen asked Miguel. Then Miguel moved to the right and there were standing a round table for two people behind him. "Please have a seat." Miguel said to Gwen. "No thank you." Gwen refused. "Oh, then let me give you these beautiful roses." Miguel said. Then he pulled out roses from behind him and started to pass it to Gwen. But Miles quickly shot with a web from his web shooters at roses that then attached to the wall a few meters away from Gwen. "What the....!?" Miguel turned around and looked at Miles. "If you would knew Gwen as much as I do, then you would know she is allergic to roses and likes sunflowers more." Miles said putting his hands back at his jacket pocket. Gwen was looking at Miles and you could see a happy face on her beautiful face appear. Same as smile on Miles's face. "You know, I'm sorry for interrupting, but did you know how much those flowers cost and all these things!?" Miguel said. Gwen and Miles looked at him. "Is money are the only thing you are worrying about?!" Gwen asked. "Of course not, everything would be just perfect if Miles didn't get into our moment." Miguel replied. "Sorry, what our moment?" Gwen asked, and at that time she was very confused. "I Love you Gwen, in a past day I was trying to make you feel the same so I was wearing an expensive tuxedo, had a cool car, expensive restaurant. And all those things. But it didn't work because of Miles!" Miguel said with an anger. "So, you was trying to buy me, is this what you was trying to do all this time?" Gwen asked and the tears were about to go down her face. "Well, technically yeah." Miguel replied. And then the tears started to go down Gwen's face and she ran to her room that Miguel rented for her, Miles, and Peter. Then Miles walked to Miguel's face and looked at it and said. "You know, I know just want to punch you so hard but I did not want to be the kind of person you are." And then Miles walked to find Gwen. To be continued...
