Once there we quickly got vehicles and headed out. We also had York and Ryan coming with us.
We made a pit stop in some unsettled territory.
"Epsilon?" I questioned. He didn't answer. "Hey Church!"
He popped up, "Huh? What? What?"
"I said, is this where we're parking?"
"Oh yeah, this is it."
I shut my Warthog off and hopped out. The others climbed out of the Warthogs.
"Sweet, we're here?" Tucker asked.
"Nah, just a pit stop," Epsilon told him, "We need to refill the jeeps while we have some cover. There should be some gas cans in the back..."
"You told me those were lemonade cans," Caboose said.
"What? When?"
"The first week we met."
"Oh. Caboose, have you been drinking...?"
"The first gulp was pretty rough, but you know, I didn't want you guys to think you made bad lemonade."
"Well that explains the fuck out of your birthday candles," Tucker commented.
"Yeah, I wished I was a dragon. It was the best birthday ever."
"Hey Epsilon," I said.
"What's up, Ri?" he asked.
"Wanna run some more equipment training?"
"What? Right now?"
"Might as well while we're stopped. It's good knowing the bubble shield works, but I still feel like my deployment time could be better."
"Riley, you're fine. Just relax, alright?"
"But..."
"Hey, Hey, Riley, come on. You're trying to hard to be like the others. There's no one here that you need to impress. So come on, take it easy, loosen up."
"Loosen up. Right."
"Hey, are you doing okay?"
"I'm fine."
"Oh, ya hear that North," York drawled as he and Ryan joined us, "she says she's fine. It's a Clarke thing, right? The lying?"
"What the fuck are ye going on about?" I questioned.
"That's what I want to know," Ryan said.
"I'm talking about you," York said, "Not telling me what you were doing last night. And not telling me why you and Wash are acting like you have never been apart."
I snorted, "Oh, I see. Aye, the question isn't what he was doing. The question is who he was doing?"
"You son of bitch," York snapped, shoving Ryan. "You got laid and you didn't tell your best friend."
"Why would I talk about that with ye?" Ryan questioned.
"Because I'm your best friend. I want to know about things going on in your life."
I shrugged, "Aye, I mean, I tell Wash, ye know my best friend, pretty much everything. He does the same."
"Okay, we're ready to go," Tucker said joining us.
"Oh, badass," Epsilon said, "You filled up our car too?"
"Yeah, I gave it to both of them. Bow-chicka-bow..."
"Bow-chicka-bow...?" I said at the same time as him. They all stared at me, "What? That's the joke, right?"
"Did she just say my thing?"
