We quickly pulled up outside the boutique shop and everyone bundled out both both cars as I turned to face the boys.

"I should probably go in alone. If she's in there I don't want her to feel intimidated by all of you."

"We're not that bad!" Charlie protested.

"Yeah tell that to the switchblade sticking out your pocket." I said sarcastically.

The others all laughed as Ace came closer and took one of my hands in his.

"Sure you don't want me to come?"

I stared up into his eyes. I wanted nothing more than to have him by my side. But I couldn't. I was trying to build a burning bridge. And unfortunately for me, Ace was gasoline to a fire.

"I got this." I said as confidently as I could.

He nodded slowly. For some reason I got this feeling that he wanted me to want him to come with me. I shook it off as I gave the boys one last nod before walking into the shop. I was greeted with smiles. This is where I was meant to belong. 'Meant to'.

"Oh hey bitch."

Poo.

I turned slowly and saw Donna standing by a selection of dresses, glaring at me.

"Im so so sorry Donna! You know I never meant to throw Mark under the bus like that!" I exclaimed as I rushed closer to her.

She stepped back and raised her eyebrow at me.

"You know I wouldn't have done it on purpose!"

She was silent as I saw the glare disappear.

"You didn't tell your parents I smoked or drank.." She said quietly.

"Course I didn't!" I tried my hardest not to yell in the store. "You're my best friend Donna! I couldn't do that to you!"

A small smile appeared on her face as she looked up at me slowly.

"So you and Ace huh?"

I smiled weakly and shook it off.

"It's not happening. I just couldn't let an innocent guy get in trouble."

"Innocent?" She said suggestively, raising her eyebrow.

I laughed. "Well innocent in this aspect."

She laughed. "Oh sweetie, I was the opposite side of that car park to you two and let me tell you. What he wanted and was thinking. Was far, far, from innocent."

I gently shoved her.

"You know I'm not like that."

She shrugged slightly as she began flicking through some of the clothes hanging up.

"You could be though..." She said, her voice trailing off.

"Yeah, you know that won't happen."

She sighed and turned to me, grabbing my shoulders.

"Oh god Shell! When are you going to learn that you don't have to be mummy and daddy's perfect little girl? Learn to live a little!"

I sighed and looked towards the door before back at her. It took a few seconds but her eyes soon widened and her lips turned into a massive smile.

"Oh my god he's outside!" She squealed, jumping up and down slightly.

I felt my cheeks turn pink as I tried shaking my head. She smacked me gently before pulling a sly face.

"Oh Shell you want this bad boy don't you?"

I quickly shook my head.

"No I don't! And for your information I heard him tell the boys he'd only sleep with me just so he can get bragging rights over the other View boys." I said, quite matter-of-factly.

She shrugged. "So?"

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "So, I'm not a slut that will do things like that!" I whisper yelled at her.

She stood up straight and crossed her arms, shaking her head.

"Well I know a way to make you realise you actually want him." She said smirking.

"Oh yeah?" I started. "And how's that?"

She said nothing but smirked as she went straight past me and out the door. I quickly followed and saw all the boys stand up straight at the sight of us walking out.

"She's cool." I said.

But they didn't respond. They all watched as Donna went straight to Ace and offered him her hand.

"I'm Donna... I've heard so much about you." She said, a strange tone to her voice.

Ace looked at her confused but slowly reached out to shake her hand. The moment he did she giggled and flipped her hair back over her shoulder. Her body stumbled forward, he grabbed her waist to steady her and I felt my whole body heat up.

I watched as she placed her hands on his shoulders and turned to me, smirking.

"Shell here was just telling me about your little situation." She pressed herself up against Ace and leant up to his ear. "But don't worry I can fix it for you." She said, loud enough for us all to hear.

I felt the heat burn through my body like a fire engulfing a house, bit by bit. I looked at the other boys, who were all clearly trying to work out what was happening. Ace stared at me as I stared back.

Wait.

Am I feeling a tear.

No. No. I'm not. It's the wind.

Yeah, the wind.

Donna turned to me and smirked. She giggled again and leant her head on Ace's shoulder again before pushing herself off and coming towards me. Before I could even process what had just happened, she had gripped my arm and had dragged me back into the shop, leaving the boys just as confused as me.

"Yeah, sure it ain't gonna happen between you two." She said when we were inside and she'd turned to face me.

My head was still trying to process what had just happened as she just stood smiling.

"Okay I'll break it down for you, seeing as you can't quite work it out. I threw myself upon him. As you rightly saw. And let me guess you kinda wanted to punch me every time you saw me touch him." She paused.

That wasn't technically a lie.

"And I don't doubt you wanted to cry either." She continued.

"It was the wind." I said sarcastically.

She waved my response away before smiling a real genuine smile.

"But do you want to know the big giveaway?"

I raised my eyebrow slightly, do I even want to know?

"He didn't flirt back."
