Chapter 6: Together

"We are to send a strike force to the Sand. It seems that the entire village has gone dark" naruto says in a serious tone.

"The sand hasnt contacted us at all since the Kazekage sent word via a scroll which is telling us that they need help." Shikamaru adds on.

"Five of you will rendezvous with a squad of ANBU posted quite close to the outskirts of the village.

"Five?" Sarada asks in confusion.

"Kawaki will be joining you." The hokage says. Sarada doesnt know kawaki all too well. So she doesnt feel right having someone she doesnt trust coming on a mission which she knows she has to place that very trust in.

"Is that a problem sarada?" Kawaki says behind them, suddenly appearing in the room. He mustve came in quietly.

"Hn, no problem at all" she replies with a straight face.

Boruto observes and stays quiet, but had a limit if kawaki steps out of line. Sarada was a special part of his life now, someone who is precious to him, and he wont just stand around as that someone gets manipulated and enraged over a jerk who just likes doing that to people.

Though its not entirely kawaki's fault. His lack of social activity and his dreadful past has some points in how he is today. But deep down, there was something in him, all that hatred, all that loss, fear and sadness, locked up in a rusty small cage, waiting to be break loose.....waiting to be unleashed.

"Im afraid this mission is classified as an S-rank and you 3 might get the chance to finally be Jonin. Kawaki, you can even be a chunin if the mission is completed and after you go through some tests. Goodluck dattebayo. Those people need your help, dont let them down."

"Sir!" They all say simultaneously and turn to leave.

"Boruto, wait" naruto says.

Boruto looks at Sarada and she nods lightly as if saying she'll wait for him with her action. So she waits outside the room and crosses her arms, leaning against the wall.

Boruto turns around and walks up to his father.

"Is it true?" he says with a very serious face. Like when he did something terribly wrong like vandalise the Great Stone Faces or cause trouble in the village when he was a kid.

"Tsch...why is he looking at me like that" he says with an eyebrow and his hands up as if he was about to be hit.

"Is what true?"

"Are you and sarada...ya know..together?"

"What the hell, is that what this is all about?"

"Oh urmm... Yeah, i guess so."

Naruto stands up slowly. He nods at boruto and turns away from him, looking at the view outside the window.

"Ermm...dad?"

Then he turns around and jumps towards boruto. Their faces an inch apart.

"There are many ways of treating women. And many women love most of these ways while some do not. But do not fear boruto, your awesome dad is here to help!" He says, very loudly.

Sarada heard the commotion coming from the room and instinctively put an ear on the door.

"......"

"What are you talking about" he says with a straight face, expression same as sasuke's.

"There are signs that she could be angry with you and that means you shouldnt engage, instead, back off, and wait for her to be more comfortable with your approach. Trust me."
