Chapter 16: Vengence

"Weak" a word hes heard too many times. But this time it was different.

"Weak is not a word that describes you my child. You are strong...but that boy... He possesses the power of my eye, the Jougan. I will lend you the power of the Otsutsuki, you will use it to wreck havoc upon earth." He says, holding an orb in his hand.

"I will use it as i will." Kawaki says kneeling down.

"That village that you care so much about is full of liars and ruled by a monster. Their world, corrupt since the dawn of their race. You will end their era and start anew."

"Why cant you do it yourself?"

"Im an ancient being, feeding upon the power of my peop..."

"Youre some ruler huh."

"They dont die. Merely weekend, just enough to live, and my soldiers, those who possess power are the ones who i dont feed on. But how i really am immortal is from the life source of this planet. In order to survive, we plant these trees. Theyre called Divine trees." He says, showing kawaki all the life devouring trees all over the lands, each at least 30-40kilometers apart but there were so many. The lands were dark but filled with many strange looking houses beneath each of the humongous tree

"Kaguya, my foolish grand daughter was selfish. She wanted her own planet to rule, jealous of the power i own." His face showed a tiny bit of sadness but his godlike features made it seem so insignificant.

"Agon-sama, im ready"

Hidden Leaf

"And thats that, congratulations you three. Its not under the best circumstances, but with the amount of shinobi we have, this is the best option." Konohamaru says with his hands on his hips, looking proud.

"Ar.. Are you sure? We're jounin now?" Boruto looking excited as ever alongside sarada and mitsuki with the same smile on their face.

"Yeeee!!!" Sarada screams in happiness and jumps on boruto, he puts his arms around her and swings her around as he cheers with joy as well. Mitsuki wraps all of them up with his long hands, including konohamaru for a group hug.

"Gu... Guys...... We.... Still... Have... Work to do." Their sensei struggling to speak but his kids just wont budge as they jump around with each other wrapped around, full of happiness.

When they finally let go, konohamaru explains why they were promoted to jounin. War has indeed begun. The Cloud and the Mist have detected white skinned shinobi, ones who are not as strong as normal soldier Otsutsuki's, like the ones that have attacked before but weaker shinobi who are still skilled in combat can still pack a punch. Unlike before, the war was mostly against White Zetsu, who were mindless clones, this time the White shinobi, as they call them, and they are very much alive.

"Come on guys, since we're all jounin now, naruto nii... I mean the 7th has assigned you 3 to a specific mission. Some White shinobi have infiltrated the village but failed and they retreated."

"Why did they fail?" Mitsuki asks.

"Because they wanted to rescue someone. And we have just the guy theyre looking for" konohamaru says with smile.

Later...

"Nice to see you again.... Brat" he was wrapped around in some type of sealing jutsu. His whole body covered except for his head. They were in an interrogation room.

"Heh... Thought you were done for good, kenshin" sarada says

"Let me out of this sealing jutsu so that we can find out you little brat, i'll crush you in an instant you whining puny kid!" He becomes frustrated, unable to move.
