Chapter 27: Guardian Protector

These past couple of months have been amazing. Everytime i look at sarada and i see our baby growing inside her it always made me so happy i could leap for joy. Everyday before going to work id kiss her forehead as she slept peacefully, hoping i could get downstairs and prepare something for her to eat before she could wake up. But everytime i get out of the shower, shes already dressed up and preparing breakfast downstairs, using our other bathroom as an alternative to bathe. I sighed everytime, feeling guilty that she has to do all that, we talked about it and we always found ourselves arguing because shes not going to back off when i said she doesnt need to do all that, i noticed she liked being pampered, but not too much till the point she doesnt get to do anything for me or herself.

I loved her more and more everyday, i didnt know that was even possible. She hated the changes on her body though, but i loved that too, it was just more and more confirmation that our babies were growing inside her. She thought she wasnt as attractive to me as she was anymore. Well i couldnt have that dattebasa, id take every opportunity there is to be with her, being gentle as i could and careful because of her stomach, i didnt want to hurt the babies. Sometimes id look down and see her beautiful face as she drowns in pleasure. To me, she got even more gorgeous than ive ever seen. She didnt like her bushier hair but id use it to pull her into passionate kisses, sometimes so intimate our mouths open and the sounds of our kisses made me so excited that id rush her to the bedroom right away.

Before going to work, id always talk to our babies inside her stomach and id always find her tears flowing down her cheek. Id wipe them and plant small kisses all over her face and at the same time, telling her how much i love her . Then i have to leave, which is the worst and best part, because i know shed miss me, so sometimes id send a clone to buy her that favourite green tea of hers that she loves so much because it helps with some pregnant tummy aches, and that bothers her at work. When i get home, which is the best part, she pulls me into a soaring kiss, full of love and intimacy and then she plants small kisses all over my face, saying thank you and i love you as she does it. Its the most wonderful feeling in the world.

On her end of the day, I know work at the Hokage's office is stressful, me above all knowing how the workload can actually keep you there for a long time, my childhood with my dad has been just that. So i made him promise to always make sure she can leave in time, lowering her burden on whatever workload they have. I talked to her about it before doing it of course, she was resilient at first, being who she is, of course she thought she could handle it and all, and i know that, i trust her enough and know that she very well can handle it dattebasa. But shes my wife, and shes pregnant, i will do everything and anything i can to take care of her and the babies. So after many attempts of pleading and using my 'charm' on her, she finally budged and agreed. Speaking of which, im hoping to wrap this whole ninja tool thing as soon as i can.

Though i can only do as much, she had that look of determination on her face, she was patient and hardworking. She was gonna become hokage no matter what obstacle she came across. And im not going to stop her from that.

When night came id hold her close, sometimes she liked looking at me as we slept, putting her hand on my cheek and stroking it lightly. Id look at her as well, our eyes always seem to catch each other in deep solace. She was so cute but i couldnt get any sleep because of the kicking coming from her belly.

"Hey you two... You gotta stop kicking daddy" i say sleepily and sarada would chuckle, her eyes slowly tearing up. She would turn the other way so that i could finally get some rest properly. But to be honest, i love the kicking. I wish it would continue.
Those two little people inside her were about to become a new pinnacle of our lives. They would mean the most important thing to us. And tomorrow we're gonna go see her mom and do her ultra sound test. All this time we've done the test but now she was suddenly anxious to find out. She was itching of excitement when we were talking about names last night and she couldnt hold herself back from knowing any longer, even if its only less than a month left so i nodded in agreement and tomorrow we'll find out the gender. But really, even i was curious to know. My wife getting all riled up can spread really fast to me dattebasa.

Morning came and we found ourselves rushing already. "Hurry up! We're late for the appointment
..... boruto!" She yells from the door.

"Im coming im comin dattebasa" i say as i put on my sandals leisurely. "Oh its just your mom, shes not gonna be that mad or anything on us"

Later...

"Oh....ehehe" shes definitely mad. She had an angry look that you know you should back off from. 'The angry mom look'.

"We've been waiting for an hour boruto, where were you two?" Sakura says, her voice not loud but a sense of anger in them.

"Sorry mama, but boruto was jus.." sarada tries to defend me but gets cut off immediately, she shrugs her shoulders and sighs.

"No buts! There are alot of people here channaro! They have to wait because i made a special placement for you two...*sighs...well come on, get up and lie here, young lady"

Meanwhile

"Are you the contact sarada talked about?" Sumire asks, and a hooded figure steps out from the treeline.

"Yes, and you got yourself in alot of trouble, you know" she takes of the hood and sumire gasps.

"Karin san?"

"Yupp, me and your boyfriend here have been watching you the whole time"

"Boyfriend?" She says and then karin's shadow from the ground suddenly rose and become a person, he wore konohagakure ANBU uniform and had long a spiky bun.

"Shikadai..."

"Hi... Sumire" he says after taking off his white mask. They havent been together for a long time, he was recruited as ANBU after the war and had missions all over the Land of Fire, and sumire was mostly busy with her scientific research programs and such, so they thought it was best to end it, though neither of them wanted it to end but it was for the best, so they thought.

"Wha... Whatre you doing here?"

"This guy, that sends shinobi after you wants to find out what you know. That ninja tool.... Hes using it somewhere and making chaos, two teams of ANBU were sent to pursure him after he disappeared from the village recently. Both teams havent returned and they havent been heard from since..................
I had friends... In those teams."

"Im... Sorry, shikadai but did you find out what are they planning?"

"No... He and whoever hes with, seem to be very good at hiding. But i know someone who can help us out. He should know more about hideouts than anyone here in the world."

Karin turns to look at shikadai at the same time he looks at her. She understand what he means and looks back at sumire.

"Orochimaru"

Leaf Hospital

"Congratulations you two" sakura says with a happy face and two hands on her hips.

"Two boys boruto!" She holds his hand while wiggling around, squealing in joy and excitement on the metal chair where she laid.

Boruto smiles proudly, she could see a tear forming up and flowing down his face slowly but he quickly wipes it. She looks at him lovingly, touched when she saw him tear up.

He looks at her then points towards the monitor with his eyes. It was a recording just now that showed her babies in the stomach using the ultra scan. She couldnt get over watching it.
She smiled when she saw it, holding her husband's hand tightly.

"Just one more month"
