Chapter 18: The Final Battle

As the battle on the west endures, naruto and the rest of the Shinobi Alliance fight with all their might, that is until everything suddenly went dead silent, the White shinobi stopped fighting and retreated, naruto turned to shikamaru, he too looked confused.
Thats when he knew. This is it.

"Everyone! Stay sharp and form defensive positions!" The 7th shouts, everyone nodded and did as he said, some gulping and bracing. All of them were given information on what they might soon face, the ultimate being, a living god.

Then the ground starts to shake, rocks crumbling, the air felt different... The day was dark, clouds forming to cover the moonlight. And a few moments later everything just stopped.

Far in the distance a white light burst out, causing everyone to look away. A medium sized portal opened and then he came out.

"Now..... "

Everyone seizes at the sight of him, some even shivering.

"Shall we begin?"

East battle, Sasuke's contingen

After the white flash, everyone puts down their hands after covering their faces except for sasuke and boruto who could see clearly.

Kawaki stepped out the portal, looking cold as always, holding a black orb in his hand.

"Everyone stand down, leave this fight to them" darui says, looking at sasuke and boruto walking past everyone to meet him midway.

When they reach, the their faces expressed no words, although sasuke was very disappointed. Boruto? He thought he would tell him off, scold him, say something, anything... but he didnt, he couldnt. No words could express what he was feeling at that time. To see his friend turn into something like this...

"Sensei, boruto, i never thought this day would come, but you would never understand." He looks into their eyes.

"Whats wrong boruto? Looking abit pale ther..." he says with sly smile.

"You know, after all those times you were with us, deep down I always hoped you could change and become better, when we lived together and trained together, i knew there was good in you. I know there still is. Kawaki plea... "

"Then you never knew me at all." Boruto flinches at his words.

"And now... Its time you know why i did all this, there will be no more pain and suffering in this world, everything will be perfect, everything will be good." The rod he holds expands into a staff.

"Nothing can be truly perfect. Theres still time for you to change kawaki, you can still make the right choice" sasuke says, both eyes in full visual prowess.

"Like you did?! You have no right to lecture me sasuke, you wanted to destroy the world and change it to how you see fit, and frankly, i liked that person more. That person understood pain and suffering, he knew what it does to someone and he was willing to change the world so that everyone else could understand as well. No matter the cost"

"Please kawaki.............dont do this" boruto says, knowing they were gonna fight anyway but it was a plead that he had to do.

Then a silent moment came, the air stood still, the ground bracing and their hearts racing. And then a loud sound of speed burst out.

They raced towards each other and fought using taijutsu at first.

West battle, Naruto's contingen.

The tailed beasts fighting hard as naruto leads them on but, it wasnt doing much damage to him, things were not looking good.

"I will devour you all" he says, holding a shinobi by the neck and cracking it instantly.
