the bell rings and everyone is already out of classes so i start walking through people. i tried to look for rose but i didn't even find her.

until i bumped into someone. "watch where you walk next time," i look down to see rose laughing with some guy all beside her.

"oh hi ethan," she blushes once she realized it was me. but i didn't say anything and walked to the parking lot. i know i was only dominant over her in bed but it pissed me off seeing her with him.

"i'm home," i yelled. my mom comes down to greet me. i hug her and noticed she was smiling real hard. "you okay?" i asked

"yes, the baby is doing perfectly fine right now," she tells me and i hug her again to congratulate her. i know how excited she is for the baby but also how scared she is.

she hasn't started to buy anything for the baby now even if she's just two months in.

i'm guessing she doesn't want get her hopes up.she goes into the kitchen since my stepdad calls her. i walk to my room and see olivia on my computer just typing real fast. "did you lose something?" i asked she looks at me surprised.

"what are you doing in here?" i asked her

"i'm helping you find your brother," she smiles at me. but once she mentioned him i got upset. i've been looking for a while but how can we find shit if we don't even know his name. i didn't know if i should believe her but this wasn't anything to joke about.

olivia is my step-sister but she's like a real sister to me. she knows how much i've been looking for my bother that my dad took with him. "olivia this isn't funny just get out. i don't want you in my room anymore," i spat and she was shocked to even see me this mad."

i'm not even joking-," but i was quick to cut her offi raise my voice.

"i said get out," she gets off the bed. she was standing in the door way with a frown across her face.

"i found him, his name is grayson," she sniffled

"i got his name from pictures your mom has hidden," just like that she left my room. now i felt like an asshole for yelling at her like that. if this is really my brother i'm going to have to make it up to her.

i open the computer to see an instagram page open.

i start to scroll through his pictures and see the resemblance between us. this can really be my brother? this can't be real, what if i just get my hopes up. but before i can dm him i go into olivia's room. "hey," i said standing in her doorway-she was lying down on her bed and her back was faced my way. "i'm sorry," i let out but she didn't say anything.

she does this when's she mad or upset she pretends to be asleep. "but thank you for helping me find him, if it's even him," i said

"i'm sure it is," she says back "i'm tired." she yawns, a fake one if i mention

i've been staring at the screen for ten minutes now. i haven't followed him nor texted him yet. "fuck,"i felt stuck in between my choices.

my mom can feel betrayed for going behind her back but i'll regret it if i don't do it. i love my mom but i don't know if i can forgive myself if i don't do this now. so i followed him, i go to the message icon. graysondolan

"just say hey," olivia scares the shit out of me. "if you don't do it i'll do it," she says with her hands to her side. "i didn't break into my step moms room for nothing,"she was right, all i said was hi but now i needed to wait for him to see it or  for him to even follow me back.

"what are you doing? you look nervous," my mom bursts into my room but i was quick to close laptop. she looked at me funny when i closed it. it was the wrong move to do right now but i can't risk her finding out right now.she continued to look at me suspiciously.

"why did you just do that?" she asked and i say the first thing i can think of.

"mom i think i deserve my privacy," i said back to her. this was never an issue but again i can't have her knowing that olivia has been going inside her room to find out information on grayson, if that's his name.

"ethan, you never behave like this what's going on?" she asked concern. i was now raising red flags but i needed to cover my tracks.i sigh and start to grow angry at myself for the next thing

i'm about to say. "i was texting lia- about getting back together. i know it's a bad idea of how things ended. if you seen those messages you would've been disappointed at me,"

i was now looking at my feet."as much as i don't like her if you're happy being with her so will i," i look back up at her and she just smiled at me.

"but please if you need privacy close your door,"she walks out my room and i open up my computer again.

but still no message from, what was making him take so long he was just active five minutes ago! i know olivia didn't risk herself being caught for him to not answer me.

two hours go by..

"ethan, there is a girl named rose at the door looking for you," olivia yells behind the door to my room since i locked it.

i was inpatient this whole time just staring at the screen that just turned off every so often.i go to the door to see rose standing outside my house. she was on her phone, didn't even notice i was walking towards her.

"what's up?" i asked. "are you all good? you seemed off today at school," she says

"yeah- sorry i was just distracted. can i talk to you at school tomorrow i have to do something important right now, sorry," i said but she nods at me with an awkward smile.

"it's okay, bye," she leaves, i closed the door hoping by the time i went back into my room he would answer my message.
