trigger warning!

it was just past 8:30 am and everyone in the dorm was rushing to get out. leaving at this hour practically means they're bound to be late. that didn't stop woojin from packing jeongin and felix food for lunch later and energy bars for breakfast. "you're feeling well enough for practice, right?" chan asked the blonde male as he tied his shoes. he just nodded in response. in all reality, he knew he didn't feel well enough, he felt exhausted. yet, that wasn't going to stop him from overworking himself until he grew weak.

it was now three hours into dance practice and felix felt incredibly lightheaded. he still pushed through despite the messy, uncoordinated moves. he felt the other members glaring at him every time he messed up the footwork or was late to get the choreography right. he could feel everyone's eyes on him, they could definitely tell he was struggling. that was until chan announced, "let's take a break! i have energy bars and gatorade in my bag so everyone have some please." he heard jeongin whine loudly from the thought of having more to eat. felix slid his body down the wall in attempt to catch him breath. sweat dripped down from his forehead as he panted loudly like everyone else in the room.

he averted his attention towards hyunjin as he bent over to hand felix a bar and gatorade. "oh no thank you, im not hungry," he tried his best to politely decline despite the etch in his stomach begging him to take it. he just shrugged before walking off to where changbin was standing. he let his head fall into his knees as he watched his hands tremble, he thought just for a second that all of this wasn't worth it. the feeling of melancholia and hunger, wasn't worth it. somehow, he still could not bring the food to his lips.

he let a short groan as he stood up, holding his back as he felt a pang shoot through his spine as practice started up once again. this wanna going to be absolute hell.

all 9 boys fled into the dormitory after practice got out and changbin immediately took notice of felix's pale skin and saddened eyes.

"you alright?" he asked calmly, just trailing behind the younger member. he nodded quickly, barely even thinking about the question he was previously asked. "it's okay if you're not," he added trying his hardest to smile towards the frail boy.

"i'm fine, really," he mumbled, setting down his bag. he rummaged through, looking for his gym ID, taking this as a perfect opportunity to run on the treadmill to burn previous calories he hadn't burned already. "why are you going to the gym when we just got off practice?" he bombarded the blonde male with concerning questions. he just shrugged it off and answered nonchalantly. "running keeps my mind off things."

"you know you can always talk to me if there's something on your mind?" he edged on, attempting to receive any kind of answer from felix. he nodded along, deciding there wasn't much he could say because no matter what, he wasn't going to express his hardships. he had other things to worry about. he can worry about jeongin, not him.

"i'm heading to the gym," felix announced to the other members sat in the living room. he earned a confused, belittled expression from chan. "be home before dinner, okay?" he assured in which felix said nothing at all. before he left, he glanced back to look at the smiling boy's, eyes glued to the tv. even jeongin had a smile on his face and his hand in chan's. for a second, felix was almost jealous. as if he would deeply regret overworking himself at the gym. he still walked through the front door with no shame. he deserved this anyways. he had too much food in his system. he knew deep down that not even jeongin would eat that much without working out. if he could do the same then he'd be just like him.
