"Jenn, I have the best idea" Jess shouts over the music in the car. "What" I say. "You should totally move into my apartment with me and my roommates... You know we're looking for one and it's still early that you could get out of the dorms with a partial refund and use it to pay the rent of our apartment" she says. Before I can respond "Yeah, I think you should. You don't like the dorms anyway and you'll be closer to me" Josh says as he gives my thigh a squeeze.
Thoughts begin to swirl thinking it would get me away from the grasp of my mom, the dorms suck, and how I would able to spend more time with Josh. Being closer to Josh would be great... but is this stupid?
We drop of Jess and James then head back to my dorm. "What are you thinking in that pretty head of yours" Josh says. "I'm thinking about taking Jess up on her offer" I reply. "You should. You hate the dorms. Plus you and Jess would have way more fun....And I would literally be across the road from you" he says. Everything he says is true but I'm curious how to go about it.
He kisses me good night. "So I know tomorrow is Monday and we don't have class but want to have dinner with me?" he asks sweetly. "Of course" I say.
I enter my dorm which is already full of loud snoring from my roommates except for Catherine who is on the phone. I grab my clothes and head to laundry room which is the best time to do it considering everyone is sleeping. As I fumble with the quarters and my clothes I contemplate moving in with Jess. I pull out my phone and start looking at the schools housing website regarding moving in or out or even switching apartments...it's much easier than I thought and I decide to go for it. I text Jess I'm in! You have a new roommate!! Jess texts me back Yes! We'll have so much fun bitch!
