The rest of the day was a blur. I couldn't stop thinking about Josh and how much I loved being with him. He made me so incredibly happy, so free, and so spirited that I thought I would burst. I couldn't believe how lost in our passion I was and how I couldn't believe that summer semester would be over in a month. I made a few good friends since my first day here and I barely have seen my family which is what I wanted. My mom's routine calls on Sunday would last five minutes and involve us talking about the weather and my sibling's issues. As long as it wasn't about me, I didn't care because that it meant my life wouldn't be open to criticism.
I walked back to Josh's dorm hoping he would be there. I knocked a few times but he didn't answer. I pulled out my phone and text him saying I was here but I would run back to my apartment to grab more clothes. I slipped the phone back in my bag and headed towards my apartment.
I reached the front door and heard screaming from inside. I slowly opened the door and heard Jess and James screaming at each other. I have never heard them fight before. I really didn't want to interrupt their argument but I needed to grab some clothes. Jess saw me peer in the through the door way "Jenn, you can come in. It's fine."
I opened the door and headed for my dresser. The air in the room was so thick you could feel the heat on your face. I quickly grabbed a few items and headed back for the hallway to leave. "This is so fucking stupid, Jess" James shouts. I wince at the angry voice behind me. "This is not fucking stupid, you are!" she yells back. I don't know why I had to give my two cents but I did anyway. "Guys, I love you both. You're perfect for each other. Hash it out then have great make-up sex." James was surprised by my comment but Jess continued to stare fiercely at James.
I shut both thebedroom and front door behind me hoping to soften any angry screams that mightescape the apartment. I made my way to the parking lot and was surprised toJosh leaning against his car. "I would say go back and get your swim suit, butI think there's a disaster happening inside." "Why do I need my suit?" I ask."Because the dorms are starting to throw a hug water fight, slash party sinceit's been so hot....And I need to cool you off" he smirks. "Well good of you tocare...but I did grab my suit." I slightly pull my suit out from within the bagso he can see. "Why would you grab that?" he asks. "A girl, must always beprepared" I respond
