"Baby, you ready" Josh said as I was finishing my hair. I've gotten so use to the nicknames the past few months that it was weird during the moments he called me by name. Lacey called me earlier that day screaming with excitement about our great news. She was thrilled to know we were living with the guys we loved and that we were going to live in the same building as us. She said she wanted us to celebrate but wanted to talk to us about some other great news as well.

"Yes, I'm good to go" as I finish one last strand. I was wearing a new black leather skirt and red silky top that Josh couldn't stop drooling over. He smacked my ass as I applied a thin layer of lip gloss and got a second smack in before I could move. "Stop or we'll stay in" I growl. "Fine with me" he says. I grab my bag and we head to the car. It's the end of July and it's surprisingly cooler than I expected for the night but I'm also grateful because I didn't feel like sweating all over.

We drive to the yummy Italian place we've been to before. Matt and Lacey are already in a booth sipping at their water and chewing bread sticks. "Hey guys" we say in unison. I feel like the four of us are beaming with joy. "So now that we're all here... we can talk seriously" Lacey grinning. Josh and I look at each other with question but Lacey cuts off our thoughts "You guys liked my parents place in Washington, right? I mean you liked the town and how cool my parents were with us?" "Eh, yeah" Josh says "Yes, Lacey. You know we had a good time and it was super fun. We wouldn't mind doing it again" I say.

"Well, I'm glad you mentioned it.... My dad wanted to know if I knew anybody looking for work and wanted to make good money over break. And-"she says. "And, I told him that you and I would be interested in making some good money over the next 3 weeks" Matt jumps in. "So he said that if we were cool with long hours and somewhat manual labor he would hire us temporary for his steel company" he states. Josh and I are taken back at the offer but before we can respond "And you too Jenn... but not at the steel company. Mom is besties with the owner of the country club and said you and I could wait tables and be hostess in their dining room. We could make amazing tips, big enough to get us through the semester. I've worked there myself before...But my mom also said there's any opening at senior home for a receptionist, ya know...get your foot in the door or work for my dad's friend's publishing company."

I seriously couldn't handle all this great news. Lacey literally got us jobs for the break through her parents. Josh and I hadn't figured out what we were going to do...we discussed just staying in bed for 3 weeks but we knew we needed money towards the end of the semester.

"Lacey, we're totally in" I scream. Josh looks at me and smiles "Oh, if you're cool with it babe" I ask. "Were absolutely in" he says. "We might not see each other every day but we can guarantee that we'll have money in our pockets...enough to cover our expenses for fall" Lacey beams. "Alright it's settled" Matt says "So let's eat."

We hash the rest of the plans over spaghetti, lasagna, and bread sticks. Lacey suggests that we leave the day or two after finals considering we have to be out of our places anyway. She explained that her parents were totally cool with us staying at their house without paying rent since they knew how it was, but expected us to do our own laundry, keep our rooms clean, and do at least 3 family activities together. Lacey provided further details about how her parents liked the four of us and it was like the family they never had.
