I spend the next week frantically trying to complete all my assignments and projects before the weekend because I know I wouldn't be doing any of them at Josh's parents place. I barely see James and Jess, let alone Josh except in World Religion. It seems we were all determined get our shit done so we could have a good time.

Friday, finally arrives and I leave my humanities class without paying attention because I'm too focused on my phone. Low and behold I run right into Landon. He basically catches me as I drop my bag. We go down to pick it up the same time and hit our heads. "Sorry" we both say. His face didn't seem so bruised and cut up like before. He actually gave me a smile "Sorry again."

"You in a hurry missy?" he asks. "Not really just not paying attention." The moment didn't seem to be as awkward as it could have been, yet we both stand there in silence. "So any big plans this weekend" he asks. "Yeah the four of us are headed---"I stop myself before continuing. "We're doing some bridge jumping and swimming at Miller's creek today ... well actually in a little bit." I say. I don't want to tell him that were headed out of town just in case, but enough so it curbs his appetite of curiosity. Probably stupid of me to have mentioned anyway.

"Sounds fun... maybe I'll see you out there." He turns and walks away. Wait what? Did he just say he'll see me out there? Shit... Josh is going to be pissed.

Josh pulls up to our apartment with James in the passenger seat. Jess and I squeal with excitement but underneath the surface were both a little nervous considering I told her what I did. Her response was honest but I wasn't ready for "Honey, you're fucking stupid. He'll be there and then there will be another fight." I keep playing her words over and over again.

James and Josh greet us at the door with tee shirts and swim trunks on. And of course Josh is wearing his ray bands. Though Josh has blonde with blue eyes, he's awfully tan which made me think he was a surfer in the first place. "Hey babe" as bends down and grabs my bag. "Hey----"I stutter. "What's wrong" he asks. He knows me to well. I seriously can't lie to him nor do I have the best poker face to hide behind. "Umm... so I ran into Landon after class and I may have mentioned that we were going be at Miller's creek?" "So..." he responds "If he's there...he's there." He sees my hesitation and walks over to me. "Babe, let's just have a great weekend where I get to have you in my bed all weekend, because let's be honest we don't sleep well when were not together." Wow, he knows exactly what to say and oh, my gosh how romantic is he? Wait, why is he so calm about this? He grabs my hand and we head out the door.
