We both jolt up as the rain pounds against the windows. I lift myself off of him and he tosses the condom out the window. I wrap the towel around my waist considering I don't have another tampon with me and I would hate to dirty one of Josh's tee shirts. He starts the engine and pulls on the road that is soaked with water. The rain continues to fall as we park at the dorms.
We brace ourselves for the cold rain and open the doors. We grab our clothes from the trunk and run to the dorm building. We race to his room and lock the door behind us. His room is cold and I run to my bag and pull out a new tampon. I shout to him that I'm running back to the bathroom with the towel still wrapped around my waist and sweat pants in hand.
A few minutes later I reenter his room. He's snuggled up underneath his blankets with the TV on and ready to go. The sky is dark giving us a false impression that's later in the night than it really it, but all I want to do is fall asleep in his loving arms.
I crawl into his bed and my body molds against his. My hair is damp but I'm in soft sweat pants and a clean tank top. Meanwhile, Josh is in basketball pants and no shirt. "I'm sorry for the drama today... I don't know what came over me." "Now you know how I felt when Landon kept coming around you." I suddenly thought yeah if this girl kept coming around as often as Landon did, I would be pretty pissed too. "We good? He asks. "Yes, were good" I reply.
We're cozy up in the covers and drift off without noticing the lightning and thunder that begins to stir outside the windows.
