As we drove back to the dorms to finish up our packing and get some sleep that I hope would happen, I texted Lacey that we would meet them in the lounge of the boy's dorms at 5am. So excited! she text back. "Lacey seems pretty excited. Are you?" I ask. He doesn't answer which makes me suddenly worry. He just stares out at the road. He doesn't turn to drive towards campus like he should but instead drives towards the hills. We pull onto a gravel road and pull onto a clear area that looks over the city like we've done before. He parks the car and turns off the engine.

"Babe, we need to get back and finish packing" I squeak. "Do you know how much I love you" he whispers. "Yes." I whisper back. Josh opens the door to his dorm and we hurry along to finish our packing realizing its past midnight. Josh is more or less throwing shit in a bag at this point. We finish and climb into bed dreading knowing that we have to wake up early.
