The rest of the evening goes accordingly. Jess and I finish in the kitchen with Diana, in borrowed clothes from Kim. Apparently there's a festival this weekend for the holiday and she's in charge of bringing desserts. But, I mean a lot of them considering how many cupcakes, brownies, cookies, and pies we helped her make. I watched Jess as she rolled, scooped, and baked, she seemed so content in the kitchen, yet I felt incredibly unnatural and felt almost trapped. Since I couldn't bake for shit I had the duty of cutting, slicing, and icing the treats.

As darkness approached, we cleaned up the kitchen and ate dinner together. It's so funny to me how much time I have spent with Josh's family considering I wanted to get the hell away from my own. I've barely seen my sister or brother at school, but a bigger part of me different care.

We finished dinner, cleared the kitchen, and headed back to Kim's house. Kim and Randy were staying with some friends tonight through the rest of the holiday so we had the place to ourselves. We were exhausted from our physical punishment today so when we entered the house we literally all dropped to our knees in the living room. We ended up being sprawled out around the living room floor slowly falling asleep to Braveheart. Apparently, our once private joke grew to the four of us and now we constantly said stupid shit about how all movies were based on a true story even though they weren't.

Josh pulled me closeto him on the couch as we fell asleep. I feel asleep listening to Josh whisper in my hair how beautiful I looked and how he didn't want to wake me up.
