We wake up to the noise of my phone buzzing. Josh reaches for it and opens to find that Jess has texted me and reads it out loud Hey girl! See you better be getting ready girl. See you in an hour. Josh peels his body away from mine and tosses the condom in the trash. I sit up and grab the towel hanging up on the back of the door and wrap it around my body. I'm become too comfortable while being with Josh that I have made my way to the boy's bathroom in just that. He has never been fond of that so he recently purchased a short, fuzzy robe for me. When he gave it me I laughed and said it would still show my legs as much as a towel would...he wasn't too fond of my remark either.
We get ready in our usual fashion. I end up pulling my long brown hair in a high ponytail and layer a black and green tank top over my chest. I slip on my dark jeans on and lace up my converse shoes, accessorizing with dangly earrings and my usual long key and music note necklace. The bracelet Josh bought me hasn't left my wrist since he's given it... I still marvel at its beauty.
Jess barges in without knocking and I quickly text Lacey to meet us in the lobby. Matt and Josh join us a few minutes later setting up a tables with an assortment of drinks while we add a few streamers and signs. We basically had a million parties in the dorms and it still amazes me that no RA or even security has said anything, but I figured as long as there weren't any major crimes they pretended this stuff didn't exist.
About 20 minutes later people start trickling in and the music begins to fill the air. Everyone is wishing James a happy birthday and Jess is smiling ear to ear pleased that she made his birthday day great. James decides he wants to play poker with the boys so they set up a table and play a few hands. To my surprise, Josh won about $50. He winks at me and claims I was his good luck charm even though I sat across the room with the girls laughing about stupid shit.
The night carries on and more people come in either for James or just the supposed fun inside. Someone suggests truth or dare but Josh and I vote against it since it almost ruined us last time so we continue to sit and talk. I'm sitting in Josh's lap with his arm around my waist resting on my thigh when I look up to see my sister walk through the door. I almost spew my drink all over Josh.
Josh responds to my action and is just about to ask when he sees her as well. She walked in with a few friends who I'm surprised to see her with. She spots me and makes her way over. I remove from myself from Josh's grip and walk over to her. "What are you doing here?" I ask. "A friend of my friends are friends with some guy whose birthday it is?" she rambles. I roll my eyes at her remark considering it made no sense for her to be here. "Yeah, it's James...its James's party you're at." I state.
She glances at Josh who is walking over to us and glares back at me. She rapidly makes a remark about my attire and yells "You're such a WHORE!" Even with the loud noise of music and talking people still hear her. "What did you say" I shout. "You heard me...you're a WHORE. I heard you lost your virginity to that loser and have been basically living with him" she continues.
My eyes start to fill with tears thinking how my sister just called me a whore in front of everyone and she doesn't even know everything. Plus she probably got some twisted version of us through people that don't even know me. Words begin to spill like vomit "I'm not a WHORE, you BITCH! I love him and he loves me. So HELL YES, I lost my v card to him! You have no fuc---"But Josh throws his hand over my mouth and pulls me away from her knowing if I say too much it will be too late.
She's surprised by his actions and steps back in shock as to what I just said. Josh feels the tears trickle down my face over his hands "Tiffanie, you need to leave. You are not friends with James and I won't have you embarrass your sister anymore." Tiffanie's cheeks flush with red and storms out of the building.
