Sharing a room with kakashi

"You need your rest!" Kushina yelled at hikari slapping her in the head with a spoon.

"I slept enough already!" Hikari yelled back holding her head.

They got back from the hospital a few hours ago and just finished dinner. Minato, kakashi, and hikari were sitting at the table while Kushina cleaned up.

" if you aren't going to sleep then atleast do something helpful. I can't imagine a man who will spend the rest of his life with a women who can't even clean a dish"

"EASY" she got up from the table "I'll find a man who likes to do the dishes"

Kushina shot her a smirk and Hikaru knew she was plotting something. "Kakashi, would you marry a woman like hikari."

"Yes"

"EHH? you weren't supposed to say yes kakashi"

He simply shrugged. A blushing hikari ran away into the safety of her room jumping on her bed. She did not know how to act in those situations. Thoughts raced threw her head. 'he was just joking right, he didn't mean it he just wanted to get on kushinas nerves. Of course it doesn't mean he likes me. Why am I even thinking like this.'

She clutched onto her pillow face as her face heated up. Why was she feeling like this. All he said was one word.

She was going to be sharing a room with kakashi. Minato and Kushina didn't have too big of a house. This is normally their guest bedroom. On one side of the room was two beds, on the other was a desk and a huge closet. Hikari had the bed closest to the door.

Her face was still red when Kushina walked in sitting on the foot of her bed. Hikari didn't say anything to her she turn poured into the pillow so she couldn't see her face.

Kushina poked it and bummed out "hikariiii"

She mumbled into the pillow

"I-uh I'm... I didn't mean to upset you back there. Well I did. But Minato talked to me about it and I know I was in the wrong." She played with her fingers "this would be a lot easier if you looked at me ya know"

Hikari slowly lifted her head

"I know this isn't what your used to, being here I mean. But we all-"

"Please don't saying anything all lovey dovey. I get the memo. I just don't like stuff like that"

Kushina straightened up "right sorry I forgot" she smiled scratching the back of her head.

"There's something I've been meaning to ask you"

"Shoot"

"Do you have feelings for kakashi, or ya know something like that"

"No why"

She chuckled "it's okay if you do it's perfectly fine"

Kushina got onto the bed crossing her legs sitting right across form hikari and flashing her a sly smile leaning in culling her hand around her mouth

"I can tell there's something there for him though"

"What really hoe do you know"

Kushina started laughing "so you do like him"

"That was mean Kushina"

Before they could go on kakashi and Minato walked in.

"Oh, kakashi are you going to bed" Kushina smiled at him

"Yea, I'm pretty tired from all the running around today" he got into putting his arms behind his head, propping it up.

"Well alright. Goodnight" she looked over at Hikari "you don't have to sleep but please mind kakashi. Read a book or something"

"Fine fine" she leaned back on the bed frame "goodnight"

Minato said his goodnights and the two of them walked out shutting the door.

"I'm sorry you got dragged into this"

His eyes were closed. "It's not your fault and I don't mind it too much"

"But that puts you in danger too"

"I'd rather it be me than someone else. Besides whoever it is I'll manage"

She played with her fingers, too embarrassed to say she was scared for herself too.

He opened one eye and looked at her
"Don't tell me, the number one knuckle head is actually scared"

He could tell by the way she tended up what he said bothered her

"Well as long as I'm here you'll be fine. You have my word. I'll look after you" he could tell there was something on her mind. "What are you thinking about?"

"It's just.. his chakra, I've never felt anything like it. And the way he treated me, he kept..." she trailed off

"He what"

"Wel he grabbed my ankle at first, then he just kept going higher. He got right above my knee when I teleported to you. It gives me a really bad feeling. If he did get his hands on me.. I don't wanna know what could happen" her face got red. It wasn't easy for her to just talk about what was on her mind, it took a lot out of her.

"So you're really scared huh"

She half way whispered "yeah. He has so many opportunities. Even now, he could wait for everyone to fall asleep and...." she shifted putting her feet under the blankets. " it's just he said he had been watching us. What if he's watching us now"

He got up and walked over to her bed and brought his blanket and pillow. "Scoot over"

Kakashi places his pillow at the foot of the bed and climbed on laying down. His feet were by her head and hers were by his. The bed wasn't exactly huge so they were almost touching.

"Now no matter if he tries anything I'll be here. I'll wake up if you are in trouble"

Kakashi has his hands on his chest and his eyes closed.

"Thank you kakashi" she laid down too.

He said he didn't mind if she kept her the lamp next to her bed on. It made her feel extra reassured. Knowing kakashi was this close to her made her heart race. In the silence of the night she could hear his breathing, and when it slowed down she touched him with her foot. As a way to comfort herself now that he wasn't awake.

She tried as hard as she could to keep her eyes open but she couldn't. Eventually she drifted to sleep.
