"Gidget, wait!" Max's voice called out from behind her but the white Pomeranian didn't listen or turn around as she raced up the fire escape. Reaching the sixth floor, she hopped through the first open window she saw. She found herself in a hallway. Hearing footsteps running up the fire escape, Gidget began to panic. The fluffy dog looked around, searching for a place to hide. Spotting a closet door that was slightly open, she ran inside.

Leaving the door open slightly, Gidget peeked through the narrow opening. Just then, Max appeared at the window. The Pomeranian shrunk back, fearful that he would find her. Tears streamed down her face as she shook fearfully. Luckily for her, Max wasn't the best at tracking and he continued on towards the seventh floor. Drawing in shaky breaths, Gidget quietly shut the door. She wanted some alone time.

Crying softly, Gidget backed up a little so she was as far away from the door as possible. She didn't want anyone to see or hear her crying. However, she had no idea of what was behind her until something touched her shoulder. Whirling around with deadly speed, Gidget acted on pure instinct and punched whatever or whoever touched her. Hearing a thud, she held her paws up defensively as she growled threateningly, "Who's there?!"

"Ow..." was the only response that came. Recognizing the voice, Gidget questioned, "Tiberius, that you?"
