Arriving at the rooftop after using the elevator, Gidget glanced over at the dark shed in the corner. Gripping the ice pack with her teeth without breaking it, the Pomeranian quietly headed over. Stopping at the door, she peered inside to find Tiberius asleep. Taking a deep breath, she gently pushed open the shed door and entered. However, it wasn't exactly quiet as the door creaked. Gidget cringed at the sound. At the same time, Tiberius woke up.
"Oh... uh... hey Gidget..." Tiberius stammered, getting to his feet. He lowered his head, slightly scared. Her ears flattening against her head nervously, Gidget mumbled, "Hi there..." Dropping the ice pack so she could talk more clearly, she went on, "I thought that... your eye might be bothering you..." She glanced away, feeling bashful for some reason. The Pomeranian could talk to anyone with confidence and she never shied away. But right now, she felt nervous. Tiberius looked away as well as he replied, "No, it's okay. I'm fine, really."
"I'll be the judge of that," Gidget declared, regaining her confidence. Approaching Tiberius and turning his head so she could see his bruised eye, she felt a twinge of regret in her heart when she saw how bad she had punched him. His right eye was slightly swollen. Before she could stop herself, Gidget gave it a small lick. Surprised, the hawk's tail fanned out. Meanwhile, Gidget could feel herself blushing slightly. She was thankful that Tiberius hadn't seen it since he was glaring at his tail. Quietly, she placed the ice pack up against his injured eye.
Sighing with relief, Tiberius laid down as he whispered, "Thank you." Smiling silently, Gidget's tail wagged a little as she replied back, "You're welcome." Holding the ice pack over his eye, the white Pomeranian didn't notice the dark clouds forming over the city.
That is, until the first flash of lightning lit up the sky.
